by the time all the knee jerk reactions are over, this “white hispanic” (ridiculous race baiting term by certain newspapers), Zimmerman will be shown in a different light.
Yes, it turns out he has African-American friends who stand by him, and he and his wife have been mentoring two African-American kids, 14- and 13-years old.

Source that he continued to follow him after being told by 911 not to?
The multiple 911 calls, available many places. Google them.
Youtube has a load of them too.

George was told ‘cops don’t need’ george to follow him.
Later calls, George has contiuned to pursue him, caught him and killed him.

Yet he killed an African American child.
That’s beyond any doubt. He chose to follow. He ended up killing.

It helps to know what you are talking about before putting it in print.

You haven’t read the 911 transcript have you?

According the 911 call he complied in 2 seconds to the “We don’t need you to do that” advisement by the 911 operator and continued to talk to the operator for almost 2 minutes as he returned to his truck to meet police officers.

Yes, I’ve read it.
Rather than “meeting the police”
Zimmerman continued his tracking of boy.

He left his truck to ENCOUNTER the boy.

You have never cited a source to back that claim. Eye witness accounts and the call contradict your claim. Please provide a source that supports your claim.

Witness says he was walking back to his car when Martin attacked him and beat him to the ground.

But I guess you know better than those meddlesome witnesses! 😃
I know he follwed the boy in his SUV - despite 911’s advice to refrain from doing so.
He followed the boy until he got out of the vehicle to ENCOUNTER him. He killed him.

No following, no encounter, no killing.
So simple.

Zimmerman’s actions? Inexplicable to me.

If I told you there was a black teenager shot by another black person alledgedly unprovoked that same weekend would you get as riled up as with this case? Think hard.
And you are not taking into account the witnesses and refuse to accept that he went back to his truck by all accounts.

…as he returned to his truck to meet police officers.
Was this ever verified? I know that he did not want to set a place to meet with officers, but wanted to give a place to meet only after they arrived there and called him.

**Multiple suspensions paint complicated portrait of Trayvon Martin **

Trayvon’s backpack contained 12 pieces of jewelry, in addition to a watch and a large flathead screwdriver, according to the report, which described the screwdriver as a burglary tool.
Trayvon was asked if the jewelry, which was mostly women’s rings and earrings, belonged to his family or a girlfriend.

“Martin replied it’s not mine. A friend gave it to me,” according to the report. Trayvon declined to name the friend.

School police impounded the jewelry and sent photos of the items to detectives at Miami-Dade police for further investigation.

“Martin was suspended, warned and dismissed for the graffiti,” according to the report prepared by Miami-Dade Schools Police.

That suspension was followed four months later by another one, in February, in which Trayvon was caught with an empty plastic bag with traces of marijuana in it, the boy’s family’s attorney has confirmed. A schools police report obtained by The Miami Herald specifies two items: a bag with marijuana residue and a “marijuana pipe.”

Interesting stuff coming out about the incident. I’ve read in a few different places now that Zimmerman’s firearm had a fully loaded magazine and a spent round still in the chamber; generally semiauto pistols automatically eject spent rounds and chamber a new one. Mechanical error might have caused this failure, but so could gripping the slide, which is commonly done in struggles over guns (it being the part of the gun that protrudes outward the most). I suppose forensics will tell us the amount of gunpowder on Martin’s body.

What’s clear based on recent revelations is that we have no business making a judgment on Zimmerman’s guilt or innocence just yet – there are a lot of details we don’t presently have, which are only just now leaking out, bit by bit, into the world.
