Luther got his Biblical canon from the CC…
- Do I even need to care that the CC said the gospels were inspired. Like I said before Luther and others had said this and were not catholics
:sad_yes::sad_yes::sad_yes: Sadly…another product of the belief in Sola Scriptura…more confusion…more conflicting beliefs…“Restoration Fellowship was founded by Sir Anthony Buzzard, Bt., MA (Oxon.) MA Th. in 1981. The subject matter of our literature is not new and has been held by small groups of believers throughout the centuries, notably by some Anabaptists and the Church of God General Conference whose headquarters and college, Atlanta Bible College, are located in McDonough, GA, USA.” Fellowship Restoration.
What about the first-century Apostolic Church’s? Uh-oh that limb is getting thinner. Early Church Fathers? Do the “small groups of believers” have any documented first century…anything?

Why would you care or believe what anyone believes for that matter? One very good reason is because the Church has remained since Christ, historically and in reality..Like I said before Luther and others had said this and were not catholics
No, YiiNaa. What you are proposing is circular: "I know that Corinthians is inspired because it talks about the Resurrection, and I know the Resurrection is true because it’s in Corinthians.
- 1 Corinth 15 is a historical account.
Right. And the Anglicans defer to the authority of the CC to tell them what is inspired and what is not.
- Growing up as anglican, I would naturally believe that the gospel is inspired.
If you are honest, and a person of integrity, you would give credit to the CC for this and acknowledge that you submit to her authority each and every time you quote from the NT.
- Do I even need to care that the CC said the gospels were inspired
And the ONLY way they knew that the NT canon is the Word of God is because they trust the authority of the CC.Like I said before Luther and others had said this and were not catholics
Not that one, the verses from matthewIt’s written in the Islamic Quran
