Ok, I’ll do your homework for you on this side issue:An argument no one is making? Go back and read from the beginning of this thread. What is the plenty of evidence you claim that shows Russia tried to influence the election? Please enlighten us and enlighten us on the fact they tried to help Trump out. It’s absolutely an asinine to think Russia would prefer Trump to Hillary on so many levels. But let’s see this hard evidence you make claims about.
- Let’s start with the intelligence community assessment which stated that: “Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the U.S. presidential election. Russia’s goals were to undermine public faith in the U.S. democratic process, denigrate Secretary Hillary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency. We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump. We have high confidence in these judgments.”
- The DNC email hack has been linked to Russian intelligence. theguardian.com/technology/2016/jul/26/dnc-email-leak-russian-hack-guccifer-2 See also: bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-12-30/russia-s-grizzly-steppe-cyberattacks-started-simply-u-s-says
- Former Trump senior leaders like Manafort and Cage have been paid a lot of money by Russia/Russian funded groups.
Now let’s go back to how Trump is playing three dimensional chess while the rest of us are playing checkers or whatever the latest attempt to make sense of his ravings is.
Do you really not understand what a hypothetical is? Have you never heard someone say “Let’s assume for the sake of argument…”So now you are saying “even if” the Russian influence is complete non-sense, what happened to “there is plenty of evidence.” C’mon man!
I’m saying that even if the Russian influence is false, it has no bearing on whether Trump made a wild accusation that he now can’t substantiate.
