Here is an article about aliens in the TPS program. It makes an intriguing claim about the discussion, that I have not heard before:
Their argument was illogical, the next step after their temporary visas expire is for them to go home. The same thing happens to Americans when they go abroad - they have to go home when their visas expire and aren’t extended.

Why is it wrong for Haitians to be expected to follow these same rules, it’s rule of law?

People from Norway come to the United States to shop.

Because even after the cost of the air fare is factored in, our taxes are lower and the things you buy here are cheaper.

Norway IS a wonderful place. [Although their winters tend to be somewhat cold.] They have a fully developed oil and gas industry. BUT they ship the oil and gas out and sell it to other countries. Norway’s electricity is generated by their hydro-electric industry.

Because the Democrats need to bus illegal immigrants around and hope they get citizenship one day so they can have more voters.

Believe me, the left doesn’t care about women, minorities or immigrants.

It may hurt your feelings, but today nobody from Norway will emigrate to your country, because this former shithole now guarantees its citizens a degree of freedom, wealth, security, health care and equality you can only dream of.

You’ll have to do with the people from shitholes.
I’m more interested individual merit than where they are from.
So, forget about white well-educated people flocking into your country in order to make it great again.
Over 50% of the students in our engineering program come from other countries. The other American students are too busy whining about racism (sound familiar?) and making misspelled placards.
They are the most motivated to work hard and defend American values.
Is that why we net billions of dollars of loss based on our immigration policy? Because they are all so motivated to work hard and not be on welfare?😑

If only.

BTW, have you scored any brownie points from the left yet with your righteous rants about racism? I don’t think @Spyridon has either. 🤣

Well, I’m conservative, so I really am not trying to impress the left.

I’d also ask if you’ve made any converts…

If you think that claiming to be conservative means you have a buttress against false accusations of racism, sexism and homophobia, you’re barking up the wrong tree, Paulie.

So if I were you, I’d stop acting like a useful idiot for people who are going to knife you in the back just for being a white male.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you. 😁
I’d also ask if you’ve made any converts…
The only converts you are making with these comments on race, gender and orientation are for the alt-right.

It’s also going to get Donald Trump re-elected in 2020.

The key word here is false. You are blind if you think they are false. Just saying they are false doesn’t make them false. Of the three of us, Luigi, Trump, and Paul, which one has been sued by the government for refusing to rent to black people?

Of the three of us, Luigi, Trump, and Paul, which one of us bragged about sexually assaulting women.?

I asked another poster to be specific on these charges of racism, but he’s vanished and failed to put up specific examples.

I now put that challenge to you. Put up and defend a couple examples, it should be easy if true.

OK, here’s my hypothesis about Trump. It is one which NONE of the so-called political experts and pundits on the news channels seem to understand. Basically, I believe he has no real set core of moral or political values. If you wish to call him a racist, a sexist, or whatever, that’s fine. But understand that he is not a true believer in any of these evil “isms.” He could just as easily become a progressive liberal if the occasion and the climate of the country called for it. Remember that he was thinking of running together for the presidency with Oprah Winfrey back in the 1990’s. It doesn’t matter to him whether he takes on the alt-right conservative ideology or the uber-leftist one. He finally through his hat in the presidential ring because the country was ripe for an ultra-conservative leader. He thinks only (or at the least mainly) of his own interests, and he ran for president not to help the country (what a naïve idea that is!) but to set a new stimulating goal for himself. Further, he doesn’t take the negative comments of people all that seriously (if at all so) because he is, in a way, having fun in his new position of power, although, being human, he would prefer praise and adulation to scorn and ridicule. He has that kind of personality which needs constant mountains to climb, and he has found one for three or more years in his role of president. In a sense, he is a genius, not so much of understanding policy or playing politics but of detecting what kind of leader motivates people at a particular period of history. That is why none of his disparaging remarks exhibiting racist and sexist attitudes stick. How could they in the social, political, and generational climate of our times? This the liberals–who keep talking about racism, sexism, xenophobia, and homophobia ad nauseam–utterly fail to understand, much to their present and future detriment.

Well, you got number one in the post above. He entered into a consent decree with government over his refusal to rent to black people.

“An ‘extremely credible source’ has called my office and told me that Barack Obama’s birth certificate is a fraud”

“Our great African-American President hasn’t exactly had a positive impact on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying Baltimore.”

“He’s a Mexican,” Trump told CNN of Curiel. “We’re building a wall between here and Mexico. The answer is, he is giving us very unfair rulings — rulings that people can’t even believe.”

The New Jersey Casino Control Commission fined the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino $200,000 in 1992 because managers would remove African-American card dealers at the request of a certain big-spending gambler. A state appeals court upheld the fine.

“And isn’t it funny. I’ve got black accountants at Trump Castle and Trump Plaza. Black guys counting my money! I hate it,” O’Donnell recalled Trump saying. “The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.”

Three times in a row on Feb. 28, Trump sidestepped opportunities to renounce white nationalist and former KKK leader David Duke, who told his radio audience last week that voting for any candidate other than Trump is “really treason to your heritage.”

Sorry but your case is very weak.

Renting practices from the 60’s? I think it says more about his father and the era than shows a very young Donald IS racist now.

The birther movement was petty but not racist, it was about getting someone disqualified from the race. Anything against Obama isn’t about race, just like speaking against Hillary isn’t always about her being a woman.

Changing out a black card dealer was wrong, but it was the customer/whale who was racist. Racism would have been to not hire blacks.

Your other quotes don’t show racism, he’s just not to your liberal PC standards.

No, it shows a man operating the same way for decades. I understand that you support him. I don’t really have anything else to say. You don’t want to know the truth.

What’s shocking is that you have to reach back to the 60’s for examples. You can’t find anything more recent for someone who employs >20,000 people in the service industry, an industry heavily dependent on minorities.

And you’ve got prooftexted quotes, but not first hand accounts of disparaging comments against other races. No quotes from people who worked with him and have first hand accounts.

Actually Imagree with much of what you posted recTrump.Although I really do think he cares about this country. However I don’t deny that he is an opportunist he saw a need and jumped n to fill the void.

I am stealing a quote from a friend, who put it more eloquently than I could. I have to agree with him.

The full quote from him is “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” The problem here isn’t the profanity but the word “why”. As though the people from those, primarily non white countries have less of a right to come to America than people from primarily white countries like Norway and Sweden. The statement was blatantly racist. He wants an America like a county club, whites only, and that’s just disgusting. There is no way this can be skewed to be a statement regarding conditions in those countries.

I should also add here that this statement has endangered our relations with numerous countries in Africa and other places, which by itself is sheer stupidity and betrays his lack of diplomatic knowledge.
