I don’t agree with his language. But no matter what, he isn’t applying the term “vermin” to an entire political party; perhaps as many as half the electorate, like the poster did.

Some of them are exactly that. A guy I know is Albanian. Moved here and started a business. He actually came from Macedonia because, he said, he was an 'illegal immigrant" to Macedonia from Albania. Why did he illegally migrate to Macedonia? In his words “because you could work all day and earn enough to eat in Macedonia, which you couldn’t do in Albania”.

He has no use for either country and loves this one. When he took his immigration test, he insisted on finishing it even though the tester told him he answered enough questions correctly to qualify. He insisted because he wanted to show how much he loves this country.

Only 25% of the American populace identifies as Republican. Democrat is slightly higher at 31%, and there are 40% Independent.

When I became a US citizen many years ago I must admit I found it strange as I was leaving the courthouse there were people lined up wanting me to choose which party I wanted to register with. I guess being somewhat conservative I chose the Republican Party, where I had come from you didn’t have to register with any party, just cast your vote at election time, there were more than 2 parties you could choose.

I’m neither a Republican nor a Democrat. I’m an independent.

I’ve been both actually, with hopes in participating in primaries, but by the time the presidential primary would come to my state, the candidate would be chosen.
