Oh really? That’s what it is?
Excuse me while I start counting up the excuses for this sad, pitiful man.
What’s excuse for why he called George Bush illegitimate? Russia?
No, that was because of the Florida recount. Again, it was not an insult directed toward Bush himself - just on the outcome of the election, which is really not an insult directed toward anyone.

Mr. Trump’s attack on John Lewis just before Martin Luther King Jr. Day can only be described as a public relations fiasco for him. It’s like his attack on the Gold Star family.
You mean Trump’s defense after being attacked by Lewis.

Sorry, these excuses don’t hold water. The insult was directed at both President elects.
Still can’t believe Democrats get a pass on their bad behavior.
Liberals are just full of hypocrisy!

Shouldn’t that last line be “humans are full of hypocrisy”???

With boycotting Trump’s inauguration, this make two Republican inaugurations that Rep. John Lewis will have boycotted. Found this via National Review, (nationalreview.com/corner/443896/john-lewis-boycotted-george-w-bush-inauguration). According to the following Washington Post article regarding the inauguration of George W. Bush, Rep. John Lewis didn’t attend:

washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A24413-2001Jan20.html
It was reported that 31 Democrats won’t be attending.

Yep, more bad behavior that will get a pass
Why is it “bad behavior” for a congress person not to attend the inauguration? How about this article in the New York Times about President Obama’s second inauguration, “As Droves Flock to Washington, Republicans Find Reasons to Leave”? I guess it was just a lot of “bad behavior” on the part of all those Republicans?
Some were heading out West to hit the slopes. Some were traveling south for warmer climes. Others were merely popping across the river for a boozy night with friends.
But as hundreds of thousands of Americans descended on Washington for President Obama’s inauguration, the one place that many Republicans said they would not be, if they could help it, was anywhere near the nation’s capital.
“It’s a chance for President Obama and his supporters to enjoy the city, and for those of us that didn’t support him, there are better places to be,” said Charlie Spies, a Republican lawyer and Mitt Romney supporter who, along with his wife, Lisa, organized a trip to Las Vegas for nearly 100 Republicans over inauguration weekend.

BTW, Governor Rauner (R-Ill) doesn’t plan to attend either last I heard.

One last thing, did any of these call Obama illegitimate ? Looks like they accepted his Presidency

For what it’s worth Gov Rauner (R-Ill) had already announced he won’t be attending.

How soon we forget the “Birthers”. Who was that guy with yellow hair leading their charge?:juggle:

Let me help you out and propose that you have difficulty answering this question because on one hand you want a strong press to publicize misdeeds of progressives, but you are unwilling to want a strong press to hold Trump to account. And indeed, that’s what Trump wants too, which is why he is so determined to crush the press. With them discredited and out of the way, he can do whatever he wants. If you want to see what a nation looks like without a strong adversarial press, just look at North Korea. The corrupt government there manages to keep support of the people because the people are prevented from finding out how corrupt their government is. They only get to see what Kim Jong-un tells them. Something like this can happen if we let Trump’s tweets be the sole source of our information.
What you describe sounds very much like the US. Our media is the lapdog of the state. You don’t get exclusives, off the record comments, or privileged access if you don’t play ball. To be sure it is not quite as ridiculous as North Korean news. But it is pretty ridiculous.
Mr. Trump’s attack on John Lewis just before Martin Luther King Jr. Day can only be described as a public relations fiasco for him. It’s like his attack on the Gold Star family.
It wasn’t an attack and it isn’t a PR disaster at all. The people who didn’t like Trump to begin with still don’t like him. The people who did like him like him even more for standing up to a race baiter who lied about suffering a racial insult from conservative protestors.
