Common wisdom is that violence in the cities benefits Trump if he is able to tie the violence to the Democrats. You can read about it in any number of sources.

That’s why the Democrats are starting to push back.
No, the Democrats are not pushing back, what CNN publishes is just more of their daily venom. Simple as that.

The violence is tied into the Democrats; Geraldo Rivera, no conservative has said this is bait and switch.

This is similar to history we have seen for 150 years, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

I have absolutely no idea what you are trying to say here.

Senator Rand Paul has called for subpoenas of Antifa hotel records, etc. etc. To find out who their donors are and we already know who some of their donors are from some of those get out of jail bail organizations.

Minn. group that saw $$ surge, some from Biden staffers, bailed out alleged violent criminals: report

So, we really should see this as totally lacking any foundation.

CNN and other like minded media are trying to shift the blame for the violence and riots to Trump - and there’s a reason why.

We ought to just listen to what Trump said:

"Protesters for different reasons. You’re protesting also because, you know, they just didn’t know. I’ve watch — I watched very closely. Why are you here? They really weren’t able to say, but they were there for a reason, perhaps.

"But a lot of them really were there because they’re following the crowd. A lot of them were there because what we witnessed was a terrible thing. What we saw was a terrible thing. And we’ve seen it over the years. We haven’t, you know, this was one horrible example, but you’ve seen other terrible examples. You know that better than anybody who would know it. And I know it. I’ve seen it, too. I’ve seen it before I was president. I’ve seen it. I think it’s a shame. I think it’s a disgrace. And it’s got to stop.

“At the same time, you also know that we have incredible people in law enforcement that we have to cherish them and take care of them. And we can’t let something like this, we have a bad apple go out and, you know, destroy the image of a whole of millions of people that take really good care of us. And then you have a movement where they say, let’s not have a police department. And you say, where are these people coming from?”

some from Biden staffers, bailed out alleged violent criminals…
Let’s get the story straight. The group you are referring to, the Minnesota Freedom Fund, is a community-based 501-c non-profit that has for a long time advocated against cash bail for those unable to pay, even when they have not been convicted of a crime. They do not “get people out of jail” who are accused of murder or more very serious crimes. But what often happens in cases of public unrest is groups of people are rounded up and confined pending an investigation. If they cannot pay their bail, their lives are often ruined through loss of a job, custody of children, etc. It is for these people that Minnesota Freedom Fund exists.

The Dems’ s encouraged and allowed these violent protests and riots to destroy their own cities.Their Hope was that the civil unrest and chaos would work against Trump and to their benefit.
There are numerous videos of the powers that be n the Dm party the validate this .
Why did they sit on their thumbs for the past four months, only to be “ woke” to the damage after the RNC when it was obvious they were falling in the polls.?
Anybody who falls for this latest tactic is naive at best.

I googled “videos of democratic leaders encouraging violence” and found one video of politicians and pundits talking about the state of the country, and acknowledging that people are upset and should be protesting, “taking to the streets”. That does not prove your point. Perhaps you have a link to something that does.

This query did yield links talking about Democrats decrying violence and other links talking about Republicans/Trump supporters seeking to turn the violence to Trump’s advantage.

I don’t need to get the story straight, thank you. That fund was donated too, it helped get certain prisoners out of jail. Simple as. Your asserting that we need to get the story straight seems to assert some responsibility on my part.

I believe some or all of what you posted is something we know or available in the public record, nobody said anything different. Thank you for informing us though.

I believe Trump supporters seeing to turn the violence to Trump’s advantage is a terrible thing to say and I find it misleading.

Now, if Republicans/Trump supporters are saying “violence led to $50 million dollars of damage in Minneapolis, a long run Democratic city and nothing was done about it for 2 or 3 nights, maybe they should elect other officials” and I’d say there is nothing wrong with this.

But as it is, using terminology as above, seems rather egregious to me.

I note too, this was totally anecdotal, no evidence of this “turn the violence to Trump’s advantage” was given. Just saying it exists.

Against the backdrop of a still-raging coronavirus outbreak, the White House offered the clearest signal yet of a calculated GOP strategy of exploiting voter fears of violence as the campaign against Biden enters the final stretch.

The strategy closely resembles the one Trump employed, unsuccessfully, in the 2018 midterm election, when he spent weeks warning of “caravans” of migrants trying to reach the U.S. border with Mexico. That approach failed to stave off large Democratic gains in congressional races, but Trump has returned to it this year as he continues to lag behind Biden in polls of the presidential race.

President Donald Trump on Sunday praised a pro-Trump caravan of activists whose presence appeared to contribute to violent clashes Saturday in Portland, Oregon.

By mere acts of doing nothing for nearly four months, refusing help of any kind, allowing these vile acts to continue they in fact have encouraged them.
KH stating these won’t and shouldn’t stop is encouraging them.
Then we can go as far back four years ago with Maxine Waters,Eric Holder, and several others encouraging this vile behavior.Republicans members of Trumps cabinet, senate members being accosted at restaurants, Protests in front of their homes etc…yep that’s the Dems and the lefties for you

But the poll showed the majority — 78% — remain “very” or “somewhat” concerned about the coronavirus. Nearly 60% said Trump is at least partly responsible for the protracted school and business closures due to the virus, as well as for the high number of coronavirus cases in the United States. More than 6 million Americans have been infected with the virus, more people than in any other country.

By contrast, most Americans do not see crime as a major priority and do not think it is increasing in their communities, the poll showed.

Everyone who commits an act of violence wants to blame someone else.

Pres. Trump isn’t to blame. The Democrats aren’t to blame, even though many of their policies kept people mired in poverty and unemployment. The Republicans aren’t to blame, even though some of their attitudes were elitist and ignorant of reality.

The person to blame for a violent act is the person who committed that act.

MANY people who face the same adverse conditions choose to live a peaceful, non-violent life in word and deed. These people are still there, still working, still living in peace as much as it is possible for them to do so. Yes, there are people who are oppressing them, hurting them, looking down on them, treating them unjustly, even killing their loved ones unnecessarily. But these peaceful people choose to face the injustices with dignity, peace, and love rather than violent words and actions that do NOTHING to help them or others.

It’s the perpretators who are to blame for the violence.

Last week in our city, a stinkin’ disgusting drunk driver ran a red light at 3:30 a.m. and crashed into a car driven by a beautiful 18-year-old African-American girl who was on her way home from her job. She was working to earn money to pay for her first year at college, where she would be studying courses that would lead to her career goal of becoming a dentist.

If it were MY daughter who had been killed by a DRUNK who had the audacity to drive in his impaired condition, I would be seeking him out right now…

But…the family of this young woman has chosen to face the situation with grace–they are mourning, of course, actually wailing and crying in public about the waste of a beautiful life. But they are not taking to the streets and throwing bricks at bars (which I’m sorely tempted to do) and setting buildings on fire and brandishing weapons against anyone who comes into their path.

They put me to shame.

Anyway, the responsibility for violent actions rests with the person commiting those actions, not anyone else. It doesn’t matter what others do to us or against us–we need to act with peace and love and non-violence.

It’s like Geraldo Rivera says, at first the Democrats said these were peaceful protests, now bait and switch, they are Trump’s fault
They are two different things. There still are peaceful protests, and there are a few violent rioters
The riots were Not started by Trump voters or Republicans. There is virtually no Trump voters who have been part of the violence and looting that has gone on for three months in Portland and other places.
The police shootings were not done by police officers working directly for Trump. They were working directly for progressive Democrats.
The continuing violence, looting and destruction are at the hands of leftist, and progressive mayors and governors have been complicit.

Trump is very pro-life, he’s not the one who stands for violence. CNN should try to report things honestly.
The following sort of sound like someone who like violence

“If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously, OK? Just knock the hell … I promise you I will pay for the legal fees. I promise, I promise,” the future president said on Feb. 1, 2016.

“I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters,” Trump said at a campaign rally in Iowa.
