that would be such a small percentage it wouldn’t make a difference if it even happens at all. most women i know have a mind of their own and don’t need anyone
to tell them who to vote for.

I wonder what the balance is between the two extremes?
I find it more evident in some of the Pentecostal denominations. I have a whole slew of step relatives that are of the Congressional Holiness flavor. If the woman needs to sneeze, she asks her husband in what manner should she…

How do you know who their husbands and fathers tell them to vote?
I and my wife have heard it straight from the horses mouth. My wife is a manicurist. People tell their hairstylist things they don’t tell their confidant. And if a manicurist has a private room such as my wife, the lips are much more loose.
You don’t think it works both ways, or are only conservative women stupid enough to vote as their husbands and fathers tell them to vote?

Many people voted for Obama just because he was black. He was making history.

Some women actually told me they would vote for any woman that ran for president. They changed their stance when Sarah Palin became McCain’s running mate, not that she was running for president. But they expressed fear that voting for McCain would put her a heartbeat away from becoming president.

So MEH!

I have a suspicion that some of the very very older woman at our parish are told by their husbands how to vote. I tend to think it is more of a southern thing.

Still, the fact that such relationships exist today is troublesome.

All the ones I know of or heard it from are conservative. My wife and I have had this discussion and that question has been asked. All so far are conservative. After all this is Deep Red State.

I too thought she was a bad choice for VP, though I don’t think any choice would have made him win. She was chosen to pander to the Tea Party movement IMHO. I also don’t fault her, opportunity knocked.

Interesting, I never spoke to people about SP.

I try not to talk politics in social gatherings like choir or neighborhood gatherings. But the liberals keep bringing it up.
It is just the opposite here. The conservatives keep bringing it up ( Red State )

We as a family came to an agreement at family gatherings, we don’t talk politics or religion.

Me and wife are Educated( Higher Learning ( she AA, me BS ), Catholic, and Democrat.

My family that we get together with are non-Educated, Protestant( Church of God( brother is a Bishop( and no, Bishops don’t need a college degree))), and Republican.

They got tired of being chewed up and spit out on every argument whether it was Political or Religious.
So I offered them a deal. Keep your mouth shut about Politics and Religion and we can all get along or you can suffer our verbal wrath and logic.
It has been smooth sailing since 2005. Get togethers are quite nice.

Humble is not the issue. Stressing the Demography between the two groups is.
As Nick Saban would: It is what it is.

You won’t get called out.

My being called out was not for what I was doing - and it is grossly unfair for your to suggest otherwise. In fact i had not done what I was called out for. It was just some folk wanted to call me out. But the people who make those kinds of posts, select targets for ideological reasons, not factual ones And they are your fellow travelers.

Well, considering your post was devoted largely to bragging about your intellect and education.Contradting your intellect to that of your uneducated Republican relatives’,I found it amusing that basic grammar has escaped you.😏
