Because he didn’t actually call for commission of a war crime. He stated approval of what some THINK ought to be a war crime. Same folks said the same thing about Bush and Cheney. But of course, not about Obama who knowingly bombs civilians along with the bad guys, and perhaps sometimes without the bad guys.

No, it’s a war crime to intentionally murder the families of terrorists in an attempt to get to them. I don’t recall Bush and Cheney advocating for the same.

“International laws” are what any given nation agrees that they are. They’re treaty obligations or none at all. Some, but not all resolutions of various international bodies are sometimes referred to as “international law”, but without a treaty binding a country to them, they don’t have the status of law as to that country. There is no international body having universal jurisdiction over the countries of the world.

I think lots of issues like this straighten themsleves out in due course. I don’t have a problem with trump having opinions on these issues. He has common sense and will handle them correctly when push comes to shove.

Truth. But I’ve thought this all along. No one is more qualified to take the office than HRC and I think that the majority of people in our country feel like they are better off now than they were 7 years ago. Hillary will build on the good work that President Obama has done. And I think she’ll be an even stronger leader because she has more experience than he had when he assumed the office.

Possibly, not many on this forum will agree with me. I guess we’ll know in November, but I am excited!

First of all Trump was sued and settled with the Justice Department for discriminating against African Americans. (The Justice Department does not take up cases they cannot win.)

He put out full page adds calling for the death penalty on three African American boys. Turning and flaming the entire City of New York against them. When it turned out that those three boys were innocent. He never apologized.

He has made comments about Native Americans, and Mexicans that are very offensive to them.

The words he has been using have inflamed a certain segment in our country. They are even making robo calls for him against the Rubio and Cruz in states where they bring up race. He has not denounced this.

And the fact that his support is from the those elements is probably why Trump refused to denounce the KKK at a Sunday Morning talk show. (Yes he did at a smaller conference and online) but a lot more people were watching it.

The KKK should be denounced loudly and strongly every time.

An African American commentator on CNN also pointed when Trump denounces ISIS he is passionate and vocal. But he is tepid when denounced the KKK.

(Also his son went on a popular White Supremicist show) They claim they didn’t know but really.

Then let’s go into his talk about forcing our troops to break the rules of Warfare. And they better do it.

The fact that he has made horrific comments about women. The fact that he made fun of the disabled and implied that a Prisoner of War is not a hero.

He also has a personal history of business practices that hurt the little guy.

And I am suppose to ignore all of this. And give this man the power to little destroy the world. Because he claims to be Pro life. With your argument, all Hitler would have to do to be elected is to claim pro life. A man who has no record of being pro life?

Where is discernment??

And for the record I voted for Romney even though I had questions about him being pro life too. But he didn’t have these troubling things about him. So I am very big into voting against abortion.

Trump has offended just about everyone. Frankly, Rubio and Cruz are beginning to offend me, too after the most recent debate. The only one with any dignity left among the Republicans is John Kasich.

I think Kasich is very well qualified. Successful and effective legislature. Successful Governor no pending indictments. However he is not super well known to the American people because he does not jump around and insult folks.

As for Trump being racist. He may not be all that racist. But I think he is calling on the racism of others to get support. He is an opportunist which is in someways worse.

I don’t think Trump is a racist - that’s just a knee-jerk screaming point. I completely agree that he is an opportunist.

Kasich is lovely and well-qualified. I’ve never said otherwise. But Republicans think he is too moderate. I myself appreciate moderate candidates. Moderate people get things done!

I think the voters went for ‘dignity’ with Mitt and Paul, and they lost.
Now they want a ‘winner’ lol

Trump was referring to the Geneva Conventions of 1949, which were ratified by and are binding on the U.S.

Who is better off than they were 7 years ago? Ask someone who is now paying for health insurance with the money they don’t have and didn’t have before for insurance. When I heard about the idea of national healthcare I was up for it. The idea that our government would be able to negotiate for health insurance for all Americans sounded like the best idea on record. At this point we all know what happened, the citizens were sold a bill of goods and the government and insurance companies took the money and ran cheered on by congress.

Well at least those who know him know what he believes and what he stands for. With Trump one never knows what is going to come out of his mouth, between invectives against the other candidates.

And drew almost everyone into the public spectacle of on the spot policy. Yesterday the families and children were disposable, today they can live. Thats progress, and the apparent moral candidates have no shot or very little of winning. May not be unprecedented in history but it sure is in this technical age of the weekly dog and pony show. 🙂 They even drew that Catholic fellow Rubio in.

Could be because Mitt and Paul do act with dignity. Romney seemed presidential when he was talking about Trump.

Mitt seemed presidential when he was running, but not lately.
I won’t support him again, too much of a hypocrite.

I wouldn’t take poison if it was served in the finest gold. Similarly, I have seen through romney’s nice demeanor and will reject what Is underneath his veneer.
