Trump or Hillary?

I’d take Jeb over Trump every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Jeb isn’t even going to make it to primary season at this rate. Trump may have hit him with a petty shot about moving down the stage during the debate, but he wasn’t wrong. Bush is quickly proving to be a non-factor in this election.
I understand that. But many people in America are forgetting about Christ being a part of the political process in Our Nation by their establishing immoral laws and promoting secularism to children in public schools
But Christ isn’t part of the political process in our nation. Neither is Buddah, Allah, Krishna, etc… It’s the reason we have a separation of church and state. Not unlike as Christ taught with “render unto Caesar…”

If a pro-life bill was sent to his desk, do you think he would sign it?
I think Trump or any Republican candidate would sign pro-life legislation sent to their desk if for no other reason than that it is politically expedient for them to do so.

I don’t think Trump is likely to initiate pro-life legislation. But I think he is smart enough to cater to his base of support when called upon to do so. And that includes not acting in opposition to pro-life measures.

Jeb Bush is a pro-life Catholic.
He intervened in the Terry Schiavo case to have her feeding tube re-inserted, thus trying to save her life.
I’ve been taking another look at Jeb Bush.
I think we could do a lot worse than voting for him. I know people equate him with establishment and don’t want another Bush(I didn’t either) but I think he is more pro-life than either George H. or George W. were.
I am disappointed in Ben Carson’s recent comments on the Terry Schiavo case, too.
Ben Carson was originally my guy, but now I don’t know.
I had forgotten about Jeb Bush’s intervention to keep Terry from being starved to death.
Actions speak louder than words.

Plus, hate to say it but he has tons of experience in foreign policy.
It’s just that, people don’t want the same old same old now.
I like Jeb, but I don’t think he has a shot at winning.

I’m actually starting to like Ted Cruz more and more. I was watching an interview with him on EWTN OnDemand this morning.

You missed the point, which is that any of the Republican candidates is better than Trump.

Yes, he is, whether you are aware of this or not. There are still many voters that do not suspend their moral convictions in the booth and follow Christ the King in their civic responsibilities.

I would vote for Hilary before I would vote for another Bush! I would be more comfortable with Trump if he did not open his mouth all the time. If his plans were simply to destroy Jeb’s campaign - than well done! What I am curious to see is how he does in the more important electoral states; New York, Texas and California.

I would have to agree with Governor Christie’s comments about everyone on the stage at the GOP debate; he stated that many of them were a part of the issues and initiatives that they were now criticizing. Trump’s lead just indicative of how people are tired of the same old politics.

I admit that i do not know a whole lot about Jeb Bush… Okay, so he is baptised Catholic. His brother and father were both a part of skull & bones and part of the bilderburg (sp?) group. Rather anti-Catholic so I put him in the same boat as them.Perhaps you can understand my scepticism when i heard that he was Catholic. Good for him if he is different from his family… i will totally have a new view of him if he has changed from his family’s stance. Thank you to all of you wanting to correct me

He is a Catholic* convert*. Many converts used to oppose the Church.

What can each party offer to voters? Hillary/Bernie can offer freebies to the victims of liberal behaviors who didn’t earn them, on the backs of the more conservative Americans who sacrificed and avoided liberal temptations to earn a better life. Repubs can offer a nostalgic return to the Glory Days when more people avoided becoming victims of liberal behaviors because they still focused on character development and living the lessons learned at houses of worship.

Do we need to talk about racism?
I am sorry but I don’t get it???

My biggest concern is the economy. My comment was simply directed at the fact that we have had two of his relatives lead us in a bad direction. George H started with the denial of a recession when we were right in the middle of one! Than George W looked the other way when mortgages were rampantly being commoditized by crooks and thrives only to rush to their rescue when things were collapsing. Now we want to take our chances on Jeb???

Am I a racists? I guess in this case I am…

Medicare and Social Security are not “freebies” that Republicans cling to?

One common that I have heard from the GOP debates that I respect is the acknowledgement that we have all got ourselves into the problems we currently are facing. When the housing “boom” was taking place, Republican families were just as greedy and foolish as any “liberal” family. These traits are part of human nature. Therefore quit with the partisan comments that you know are fallacies.

Another comment I will echoed from one of the GOP debates; we put in less money into health insurance than we eventually take out over our life time. Americans hate to exercise, eat right, stop bad habits that just add to the cost of keeping you healthy. You and I have seen fat Republicans, health issues know no party lines.

George W. is a devout Methodist and I believe that the elder Bush and his family are/were Episcopalians. Jeb converted as his wife and children are Catholics. Having lived there at the time, I can attest to the fact that he was a very good governor and tried as best he could to keep from unplugging Teri Schivo. I think you suppositions are painting with too wide a brush.

Neither! There is (IMHO) no lesser of the two evils in this election. Third party, write in or no vote. That’s about all we can do at this point. 🤷

I’m still holding out hope on Rubio making a surge once the new year comes, and winning the nomination, although I’m not as confident anymore that it will happen.

Ted Cruz is very likely to win Iowa at this point, so it will be interesting to see what happens to Trump afterwards.

Both parties are not dissimilar. I’m a registered independent. Progressives from both parties promote materialism because it encourages birth control which leads to population control. Atheists in the media, academics, and politics tempt people into becoming victims of less responsible behaviors, then blames the top half of income earners to step up and pay more and more and more, then pretends this is a form of justice even though its the opposite, then asks people to be even more charitable. How about we just become more responsible with our behaviors as God intended? Liberals look at the victims of liberal behaviors and want to help how? By voting for more liberal politicians, who will create more victims, of course. Just like the arsonist firefighter, create the problem, then help by voting for others to pay. That’s no solution. Hillary/Bernie are socialists, which is code for demotivation to work to pay tax revenues to support unknown others. Socialism has never worked in the 500 years since it was invented. It must lead to communism to control behaviors. European socialist democracy is the closest example, and horrendously high taxes have been an effective means of birth control, except for that other group that has decided to proliferate in place of the natives. How is that working out? Who is more responsible for the destruction of the innocence of our youth and its expensive fixes: liberals or conservatives? We need to examine the root causes of Motivation. For which group are you more Motivated to work hard and sacrifice to pay taxes: your family vs. unknown others? The solution is to lower taxes to stimulate the economy and preserve the innocence of our youth by creating a romantic conservative society that will preserve their innocence and encourage them to have no more than 2 kids so the progressive atheists will call off the liberal behaviors that are designed to serve as a form of birth control to limit population growth. Create pockets where the liberal hedonists can be free, out of view of those under age 21.
