Trump Says He’ll Seek a Third Term Because ‘They Spied On Me’ What happens in Reality if he tries for a 3rd?

Why, then, would anyone would respect him? I don’t want entertainment from my president. I want leadership.
Especially the juvenile, locker room “jokes”. But hopefully these will turn off more swing voters, so they will reject him at the ballot box.

Trump says things so people like you will lose their minds and create topics like this one.

We have received a great deal of leadership and positive accomplishments from Mr. Trump.

I respect him despite the things he does to annoy you. I want different things from my President than you do, apparently. Is this a revelation, after 250 years of a country?

I often wonder why anyone would respect Joe Biden, but for some reason, some people do. C’est la vie.

You’re okay with your president openly and proudly baiting people to make them look foolish? I’m not, for the record.

I can’t say it even registers with me, when juxtaposed with a man who officiates gay weddings while pretending to care about being Catholic, wants to open up abortion rights and rescind the protection of groups like the Little Sisters of the Poor, supports the insane new green deal, and who appears to be 3 steps from nuts (the last is not his fault).

If I could draw up THE perfect candidate, would they have all of Trumps traits? Of course not. They’d just have even fewer of his opponents.

I don’t see it as a big deal. You do. I see Biden’s beliefs and policies and far worse. You don’t.

Meh.

No, but you harp on something like this from Trump and it bothers you that much in light of all of Biden’s vices, it is safe to say Trump bothers you more. Which is fine, by the way.

Trump does LOTS of things I wish he wouldn’t. Twitter rants and barbs are one of them. Would love to see it gone. Does that have ANY impact on my vote? Hell no.

It doesn’t impact your vote that your president thinks it’s funny to troll Americans by threatening a massive violation of the Constitution. Okay…

Far less than Biden’s list of grievances does. You act as though we vote in a vacuum. One of these two men is going to be President. I can respect folks who choose to vote third party, given the flaws of two particular candidates. I choose not to. So folks like me are left to decide whose vices are worse? For me, it is clearly Biden and the party he represents.

Are you going to continue to be coy and avoid saying who you support? That’s fine, but the reality is this isn’t deciding between Trump, or no one. It is deciding between Trump or Biden.

When I hear arguments like this, I wonder what could cause his devotees to abandon him. It sure seems like the answer is nothing, just as he said.

I don’t currently support anyone. But I certainly don’t accept the extremely flawed premise that Trump’s faults are merely surface-level. I’m not choosing to not give him my vote because he’s irritating. He’s a threat to the republic and that’s evidenced in his statement about seeking a third term.

Some true and scary stories from around the world.

In Hungary there is Orban, whose party of FIDESZ won an election fair and square. So they replaced all the possible opponents and changed the Constitution, so that a simple majority in the parliament can modify the constitution. In the morning FIDESZ decides to bring forth some crazy idea, and by the afternoon it is part of the laws AND the constitution.

Of course they still have nominal elections, but they just like under the communist regime: there was only party to vote for, and if you did not vote for them, your vote did not count. So the result was a 99.6 approval for the communists. That is what Orban likes to have. And then there is Putin, Kim Jong Un, Xi and all the other autocrats. All admired by Trump.

They do have nominal “elections”, but they are rigged. That is what Trump would prefer. He even openly declared to support lifelong presidential assignment. Of course his supporters quickly declared it as a joke. What a “joke”. Just like when he declared “Eff the law”, and when he boasted about shooting someone on Fifth Avenue and get away with it. And grabbing women by their private parts. And declaring that a president can do ANYTHING he wants.

These are much more serious, than his uncouth behavior.

He’s not joking, he’s TROLLING

And clearly ‘catching’ lots of fish.
And again, why are you good with a president who trolls the nation’s citizens?

Trump was right when he said he could shoot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue and not lose votes. His fan club would find excuses for him, no matter who he shot.
