Trump’s position has always been part of GOP platform, and it was also mainstream for Dems until Obama. The open borders approach by yourself and others is a recent shift.pre-COVID policies re: immigration bigoted and opposed to the central tenets underscoring the nation’s founding
This isn’t about policy, but let’s just agree to disagree on whether big media has been acting with integrity.I find his constant fostering of mistrust in all but the most blatantly leaning right-wing news outlets to be extremely dangerous to honest discussion
This issue is more talking points than factual. Mostly Trump rolled back Obama regulations that were initiated at the tail end of Obama’s term, they weren’t implemented actually. For example, Obama’s gas mileage regs were not achievable. Net, we are about where we were when Obama started his term on protecting the environment.I find his rollbacks of environmental protections to be foolhardy and not well thought out.
In summary, It’s clear you don’t like the person but you really haven’t flagged any core policy areas where he has deviated from the GOP playbook.
He’s not my favorite person either, I don’t think I could spend time alone with him for more than a few minutes. But I separate that from delivering on policy promises.
