Yes. The president’s first responsibility is to the constitution, to protect the rights of the individual, to enforce the laws.Is there any point in your understanding where a president should take responsibility for those actions which he takes?
And listen to the words of Madison. And then go back to the Federalist papers to interpret those articles.
So if it is shown in court that he has blatantly defied the Constitution, then you will not support him?Yes. The president’s first responsibility is to the constitution, to protect the rights of the individual, to enforce the laws.
Depends on who his opponent is. Biden’s entire Campaign is based on powers not enumerated. I’d consider Jo Jorgenson if I thought a vote for her wouldn’t actually help Biden. So if it is shown in court that he has blatantly defied the Constitution, then you will not support him?
And with that, the last whisper of the republic dies. There is no right or wrong. There is no law. There is no morality. There is just Trump’s desire. Anything he wills is right. Anything he desires is to be supported unconditionally.pnewton:![]()

The republic dies with the growing increase of government power at the expense of individual rights. While Republicans have been no heroes on this front the progressive Democrat Party movement has operated a decided effort to promote it.And with that, the last whisper of the republic dies.
It has nothing to do with partisanship. It has to do with philosophy of government. There is no such thing as a right dictator. There is only the difference between individual rights and government power. We have sold our reason, our desires, our souls all for the sake of blind partisanship. We would be ok with a dictatorship, as long as we have the “right” dictator. You, know, the one who tells us everything we want to hear.
Well, Jon, I’m always glad to agree with you when possible. I agree. The republic is built on these principles:
- individual rights are come as part of being a human being and are granted by our creator
- Individual rights are antecedent to government. Government does not create rights.
- The general government‘s primary job is to protect individual rights.
Both parties are at fault. Both parties have usurped powers not enumerated.https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...rders-president-trump-loves-executive-orders/

As he campaigned for the presidency, Donald Trump argued that Barack Obama’s frequent use of unilateral administrative tools made Obama a weak leader.
“We have a president that can’t get anything done,” Trump told an interviewer in January 2016, “so he just keeps signing executive orders all over the place.”
Oh, no. Twice in one day. Both parties are at fault. Both parties have usurped powers not enumerated.
Power corrupts. The more power in Washington, the more corrupt it becomes.
You must be independently wealthy to the point that you will not need either in your old age?I hope. It’s about time we get rid of these.
I thought he said he would make it permanent if he was reelected. He said he will suspend them, then forgive them if re-elected. I guess those on Social Security are in for a rough time.
I imagine the Democrat Election Ads are being changed to reflect this. This is a blow at all people receiving Social Security benefits, if not now, soon.
That is the claim Trump defenders often make.Isn’t executive orders bypassing Congressional laws and statues the reason we were supposed to dislike Obama?
Just asking for a friend![]()
I explicitly reject the American two-party dichotomy. I see it as the root of great evil, and that participating in it is a rejection of the rationality and individuality God has granted us.the party you seem to support
Fair enough. But I have seen no evidence of that, especially since your criticism even know seems reserved for one party, with narrya word for the Democrats.
