Trump’s political immaturity is simply a consequence of his personal immaturity. He is probably not a bad person at heart, but he is certainly both a sore loser and a sore winner. It appears that his remark about abortion and the likelihood that women should receive some punishment for having one may have been the proverbial straw. More likely, the cumulative effect of his often foolish as well as contradictory comments are just beginning to catch up with him. He may yet be the GOP candidate, however. Time will tell.
He had a bad weekend, delegate-wise.

Donald Trump Loses Weekend Delegate Fight in 5 States link
Donald Trump’s effort to reset his campaign following defeat in Wisconsin showed no signs of paying off this weekend, as a series of technical failures by his campaign set his hopes back even further.
From Thursday to Saturday, Trump suffered setbacks in Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, South Carolina and Indiana that raise new doubts about his campaign’s preparedness for the long slog of delegate hunting as the GOP race approaches a possible contested convention. He lost the battle on two fronts. Cruz picked up 28 pledged delegates in Colorado. In the other states, rival campaigns were able to place dozens of their own loyalists in delegate spots pledged to Trump on the first ballot. This will matter if Trump fails to win a majority of delegates on the first ballot in Cleveland, as his delegates defect once party rules allow them to choose the candidate they want to nominate.
Trump’s campaign mounted a haphazard campaign for delegates in Colorado, where hundreds ran to be at large representatives in Cleveland at the state convention in Colorado Springs. The frontrunner’s advisers repeatedly instructed supporters to vote for the wrong candidates—distributing the incorrect delegate numbers to supporters. Cruz, who traveled to address the convention, swept the state’s 34 delegates on the back of a disciplined organizing effort, that included text message and video displays advertising his preferred slate.
In an appearance on NBC’s Meet The Press, Paul Manafort, the DC lobbyist-turned Trump convention manager accused Cruz’s campaign of engaging in “Gestapo tactics” as it looks to use the party rules to its fullest advantage, before trying to brush off the series of defeats.

I have full confidence that trump will win at the end of the day. He’s a battle-tested man. Has there been a learning curve for him? heck yeah, as it would be for anyone especially a non-politician.

Much of the delegates grabbing game Cruz is playing only affects 2nd ballot. Him working in cahoots with the GOP to sideline trump isn’t going to win him more hearts on the street. He’s shown himself to be quite a part of the establishment. Plus, there is still time for Trump to try and woo these delegates to his side for the 2nd ballot if need be.

As Manafort said, there are severals ways for Trump to win. He is on the winning side and that’s not about to change. Pretty soon it’d be clear Cruz has no path to 1237 and he’s only playing political games for selfish reasons.

Poll show neither of them can beat Hillary. I am sure Trump is a smart man, he has told us he is, but he has no experience dealing with a Congress which may be hostile to him. But, we shall see.

The election results will show whether trump is the ultimate dealmaker as he says, or not. If he pulls it off, he’s proven his case. Otherwise, maybe not so much.

This is great!

EPIC RESPONSE to Boston Globe’s Fake “Trump” Issue – The “Obama Disaster” Edition

The establishment media is so scared of Donald Trump that they are now publishing FAKE newspaper editions to take him down.

…

Today the People’s Cube posted their rebuttal to the Globe.
“Before Predicting the Future, Take a Closer Look at the Present”
EPIC!

Which election? Do you think he is going to get the GOP nomination?

Polls at this stage mean nothing. In May 1980 Ronald Reagan was 30 points down to Jimmy Carter . I continue to believe that there is a chance for Trump will be the next president of United States . He could conceivably win for two reasons , the anger of a large portion of the American populace at our current politicians and the unbelievably unlikable and unqualified person who is likely to get the Democrat nomination I wonder if the Democrat Party is having second thoughts about their coronation of Hillary Clinton. Even if their House of Lords defects they would still end up with an old white socialist as their standardbearer

I’m talking about both the GOP nomination and the general. If trump is who he says he is, he should be able to win both no matter what shenanigans are played against him.

It seems like everyone in Congress is hostile to Cruz. IIRC, it was Lindsey Graham who said a choice between Trump and Cruz was like choosing to be poisoned or shot. But he chose Cruz.

I don’t think either Trump or Cruz will be the Republican nominee, but I think one of them should be. They are the ones who declared their candidacy and worked for the votes. It would be wrong to use some sort of trick to put Paul Ryan or Mitt Romney in as the nominee instead.

I don’t think he’s going to win either, but that’s just my opinion. And, it shows how corrupt politics are - on both sides of the aisle. But this year, it’s more on the Republican side, or at least more obvious.

I wouldn’t vote Republican now for anything. Not after the dirty tricks they pulled in Colorado. I’m no fan of Trump, but they should play fair with him.

People already committed to Hillary Clinton would not vote for Republicans no matter what.

At least the Repubs are doing their political machinations against each other. We don’t have to pay for them. On the other hand, the Clinton corruption is massive and we do have to pay for it. I’m not nearly so concerned about whether Cruz plays dirty political tricks on Trump or vice versa, as I am about a potential president who would endorse a sale of American uranium to Russia (thence to iran) in exchange for a huge “speaking fee” to Bill Clinton. spectator.org/articles/62626/clinton-cash-and-clinton-corruption

And how is it that George Soros knew the American government was going to loan millions of dollars for offshore drilling to Petrobras of Brazil, investing in it right before it happened. Oh yes, Soros is the big funder of Media Matters, which supports Obama and Clinton. Not too hard to figure that one out.

And, of course, there’s Hillary Clinton’s $600,000 “speaking fee” paid by Goldman Sachs. Not to her campaign, to her, personally. Does anybody really think that was for a speech?

I think you keep forgetting that I voted for Sanders. I’ve stated it now about a dozen times. I will vote for Hillary Clinton if she’s the nominee, but so far, I haven’t given her my vote.

That speaking fee was for three speeches, and yes, I do believe they were for speeches.

Does anyone really want to have to put up with Lanny Davis, James Carville and Sidney Blumenthal again?
