So you think Hillary’s low trust rating are for other ‘accomplishments’?

I think awareness is much higher, the pro bernie liberal press outlets have hammered her on these points repeatedly.
But the trustworthiness of the candidate doesn’t seem primary to voters in this election. According to one poll, Trump is only 4 points behind Hillary in terms of his trustworthiness. The two least trustworthy candidate are likely to be the options in the general.

How so? It seems to me Reagan had a clear vision of what he wanted to accomplish and focused on one or two main ideas without changing his mind. Trump appears the opposite, at least as a candidate.
Speaks to the everyday man better than any Republican Presidential candidate since Reagan.

It reminds me of a handicap wrestling match where two 180 lb ‘wrestlers’ take on Andre the Giant.
I kind of wonder if maybe it would have been smarter for them to adopt this plan without announcing it? It would seem to me that this might backfire by rallying Trump supporters who believe he’s being unfairly targeted.

Well, I’m not convinced that there is an overabundance of smart strategists on the Republican side given their brilliant idea of nominating a banker in 2012 after bankers caused the economy to collapse in 2008. But you hit the nail on the head. Cruz is outplaying Trump on getting delegates lined up for 2nd, 3rd ballots and working the state conventions, but Trump is making a lot of hay out of how unfair. This just gives more ammo. Probably just cost Cruz Indiana through this move.

I swear, this whole primary season, it feels like every Republican is trying to lose.

PLEASE please, get your facts correct.

He requested security through proper channels 100’s of times.
He was required to decline offers of security outside of DOS channels.
The DOS is very political in how they operate.

I expect DOS initiation/approval was required since they had pay the bill. Even when the US Military assigns people, the security is not free, budget must be allocated and cross charges approved.
I DO have my facts straight. He also turned DOWN the offer of extra security twice! That can’t be denied. It happened. It’s a fact. It was also his choice to go to Benghazi. Hillary didn’t send him. Every three years, diplomats have to choose three places they WANT to be stationed. Stevens must have chosen Libya at one point. And please refrain from saying I’m blaming the victims. I’m not. But Benghazi wasn’t Hillary’s fault. It was the fault of the terrorists who attacked the compound in Benghazi. It was a tragedy. Terrorist attacks have become an unavoidable reality in the world today. Who was to blame for the Boston Marathon attack? Hillary? Of course not. It was the fault of the terrorists who planned it and carried it out. Same for Benghazi.

Why did this thread stay open while the others were closed?
I have to wonder that, too. If it was post number, they could have opened a new thread for the others when they closed the old ones. Now we’re restricted to Trump! Or talking about all the candidates on one thread, which gets confusing.

*********************************************************************************************** Whatever will you do when the truth hits the fan? The statements above are cold, cruel and not true. Chris Stevens paid for Hillary Clinton’s lack of ability to hold a Cabinet position. She did not perform with integrity and regard for our country. Her neglect of responding to the requests for help in the life and death event have been documented.

Hillary completely disrespected Chris Stevens and the men who died. She lied to the families, the Obama crew lied, the who and the why and then the withholding and denial.
This is such a sick, sick, story that is owned by Obama and the people he empowered.

If these guilty criminals do not answer for their deeds in this life, they will when its over.
Obama has not endorsed Hillary Clinton for president. He has endorsed no one. No one has offered any proof that Hillary Clinton did anything wrong with regard to Benghazi. If she had it would have come out before now. All the Senate hearings did was make her look more innocent and make Trey Gowdy look like a witch hunter. He may be a very nice person, but Hillary came off looking like a victim that day.

To this day she continues to lie to the families of those killed in Benghazi . Those men were allowed to die because it was not politically expedient for Obama tobknowledge that terrorism was not under “control” . Thus th abandonment of these men and the lie that the so-called riots were because of an obscure video that mocked Mohamed.

I am no Trump fan but he will be Hillary’s worst nightmare because, unlike Cruz and Kasich he will not be afraid to throw these controversial issues into Hillary’s face.

Since last July we have been told that Trump was a short-lived phenomenon and would soon fade away - Now he is on the verge of getting the Republican nomination . Anyone who dismisses his ability to become president is deluding themselves
And you don’t think there’s a lot Hillary can throw in Trump’s face with all his flip-flopping on issues and his refusal to release his tax returns? Maybe he’s not nearly as rich as he’d have us believe? Or maybe he donates heavily to pro-abortion groups like PP? Maybe he paid no tax at all? We don’t know because even though the IRS says Trump can release his taxes, he refuses to do so, giving various excuses. I think the two are pretty evenly matched with ammunition. If Trump will be Hillary’s worst nightmare, then Hillary will be Trump’s worst nightmare as well. And what does that say about the voters when the two people who are hated the most and trusted the least are the front runners, likely to be the nominees?

Personally, I like Obama, I like Hillary, Trump is okay, but not for president. But with the majority saying they don’t trust Hillary or Trump, how on earth did they get by far and away the most votes? That doesn’t say anything good about the other candidates! Except Sanders. He is really giving Hillary a run for her money that I don’t think people expected. And he’s the one judged most trustworthy. I find him most trustworthy, which is why I voted for him.

I never heard that Romney was a banker. As for the system, it may not be fair in one’s opinion (as Trump rants), but it has been the system and all candidates knew how each state chooses its delegates before this Primary season began. Trump just thought he could do it his way, which discounted the way things work. Now he calls foul. I call him a whiner. He may very well get the nomination, but I think he will go down in defeat. The electorate has chosen to ignore all of the baggage that comes with Hillary and/or they can just brush it over because she is a Democrat and/or a woman.

Personally, I think Trump is complaining to rev up his base for tough battles like Indiana. Whether it’s fair or not, it comes across like the party elite will work against Trump despite the voice of the rank and file and that’ll work in his favor. To the rank and file, this comes across as undemocratic and unfair.

I don’t disagree that Trump will go down in defeat, but so will Cruz. Whether or not the electorate ignores Clinton’s baggage is the choice of the electorate, kind of in the same way Trump’s supporters ignore his comments on women and Cruz’s supporters ignore his willingness to cheat to win Iowa.

I think Cruz would be defeated in a landslide. With Trump, I think it would be much closer, but I still think he’d lose. Going against the polls - they said it was a close race between Clinton and Sanders in New York - I think Kasich would lose, too. He’s just not likable, and he doesn’t have the experience. He’s not a good debater, he’s not a natural politician. Oh, I know Hillary isn’t a natural, either, but she’s better at it than Kasich. She’s gotten better just since the primaries began.

Why can we only talk about Trump? Only he has an open thread.
