Do you think Republicans are just giving him a blank check?… Republicans standing for what Trump does. Whatever that may be.

I agree. I heard he was on record saying he would vote for Trump but wasn’t endorsing him, so this isn’t a complete surprise however.Disappointing
LOLI think I know he stands for another country paying for his great wall and something about not allowing Muslims in for awhile. And that he should probably not eat Oreos and he is not happy with delegate rules or Meghan Kelly.Oh and he thinks America isn’t great since he wants to make it great again. Whatever that means.

I’m not surprised. They’re both moderate to liberal Republicans and from New York, which is a country unto itself.Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani endorses Donald Trump abcn.ws/1VhsZh7
No matter how many times I see that designation applied to Trump, it never ceases to amaze me. See politicalhumor.about.com/od/Donald-Trump/ss/Donald-Trump-Quotes.htm#showallI’m not surprised. They’re both moderate to liberal Republicans and from New York, which is a country unto itself.

An intriguing thinkpiece. Definitely worth the read, no matter what grotto says.A bit of media self-criticism from the Columbia Journalism Review:

About 60/40, he wins all the delegates. Kasich is a distant second, Cruz bringing up the rear. Trump should be the GOP nominee.Donald Trump wins ‘YUGE’ victory in New York Republican primary.

How many delegates has Trump won this month up until this victory in New York? Is it zero? Cruz has won over 100 delegates so far this month.About 60/40, he wins all the delegates. Kasich is a distant second, Cruz bringing up the rear. Trump should be the GOP nominee.
Good article, I liked the below analysisAn intriguing thinkpiece. Definitely worth the read, no matter what grotto says.
If either side was using political disruption to, as Lenin might say, heighten contradictions, it was the protestors. They went in to provoke, and then ran away pointing fingers at the supposed violence. Trump’s rhetoric after the incidents hasn’t helped any, but from his perspective he’s the aggrieved party.
Let’s turn it around and say the Black Lives Matter movement had caught on and was holding an ever-larger series of rallies around the country—rallies that were becoming increasingly disrupted by racists waving Confederate flags.
I think NY is Trumps first ~60% victory.I don’t think the coverage would have been the same—Rachel Maddow’s perspective on the events would certainly have come from a different place, I suspect—and I think that if there had been footage of an elderly black gentleman sucker-punching a guy carrying a Stars and Bars the commentary on that would have been oddly supportive.
Based on Current Delegate Projection in NY of 92 Trump 3 Kasich,
April delegate hauls are

Trump - 104
Kasich - 3
A lot of your fellow Democrats want that as well.Trump should be the GOP nominee.
Looks like good states for Trump coming up too, Lily. For the longest time I thought Trump would fade into the sunset. Then as we got further into primary season, I thought he could snatch the nomination. More recently I bought into the “Stop Trump” movement and thought he would be denied on the 1st ballot and Cruz could well end up being the nominee. I considered Ryan as a possibility but he has shut that down. And now after Trump’s big win and what appears to be upcoming wins next wk, I’m back on board with you that Trump should be the nominee. And I now think he more likely will be than not. But I still think he will fall a little short and will have to add some delegates inbetween the time voting ends and when they arrive in Cleveland to secure a 1st ballot nomination. If it still goes beyond that, then all bets are off as I see it.About 60/40, he wins all the delegates. Kasich is a distant second, Cruz bringing up the rear. Trump should be the GOP nominee.
