Instead of saying once and for all he never has been unfaithful to his wife, cruz has chosen to not ā€œfocus on the election,ā€
Hi queenofheartscv. I wasn’t going to respond to your post, but I have to confess that this really tickled me.

As you say, instead of saying that he hasn’t been unfaithful to his wife, cruz has chosen to not focus on the election

I was using super Luigis words and addressing his point.

Thanks, queenofheartscv.

Sorry for not giving you credit,SuperLuigi. Good one about Cruz choosing to not focus on the election instead of talking about his faithfulness to his wife. šŸ‘ šŸ™‚

Trump national support reaches almost 50 percent among republicans.

Trump 48. Cruz 27. Kasich 18

The undercurrent that is support for trump remains strong despite constant media barrage. Thank god for social media where people can discover truth for themsleves instead of being fed.

Like trump said very early on in the campaign, albeit inelegantly, ā€œthe only people who support me are, the people!ā€

I don’t like nor support Trump, but the fascist behavior of the left should frighten all who claim to be American and support freedom.
Fascism is always troubling.

That is, in part, why I don’t apply the term fascism very readily.

Here’s something that nobody seems to talk about: when talking about ā€œTeflon Donā€ the media will say things like "Trump didn’t lose supporters after ______ " but in actual fact he ***did ***lose supporters. It’s just that he gained as many (if not more) supporters than he lost.

Now I realize somebody could say ā€œWell that’s just as good as not losing any supporters.ā€ But, even if you think that, shouldn’t the media still report it accurately?

I have a feeling this wouldn’t be nearly as a big a story as it is, if so many Trump promoters hadn’t gone after Fields and Shapiro as ā€œliarsā€.

Just wow. Fields lied about being yanked and almost falling to the ground, but of course it’s the fault of trump promoters overreacting. Never mind the media peddling fields lies for days.

Meanwhile the cruz scandal is such a nothing burger. Right.

Talk about double standards. Keep up the good work, anti trumpians. He will win this assault case and the election because the bias is too obvious.

good thing they didn’t stop it. I’m dying to know the latest gossip about cruz’s wife.

Top Trump Boosters: Trump ā€˜Mental’ and ā€˜Utterly Stupid’ for Attacking Heidi Cruz
On Monday, Newt Gingrich called Donald Trump’s notorious retweet insulting Heidi Cruz’s appearance ā€œutterly stupid,ā€ and talked about how ā€œone of the dumbest weeks in presidential politics that I can rememberā€ distracts people from Hillary Clinton’s scandals.
ā€œIt has frankly weakened everything that Trump ought to be strengthening. It sent a signal to women that is negative at a time when his numbers with women are already bad. It sent a signal of instability to people who are beginning to say, okay, maybe I’ve got to get used to it, maybe I’ve got to rely on him, maybe he could be presidential.ā€
He went on to say that the comment really has hurt Trump, energized Ted Cruz, and no one on the Trump campaign understands it.
The Daily Caller’s Jamie Weinstein reports:
A staunch and vociferous supporter of Trump’s presidential candidacy, Ann Coulter admitted she was disturbed by Trump’s retweet of a picture suggesting Ted Cruz’s wife is ugly, or at least not as beautiful his wife Melania, a former model.
ā€œOur candidate is mental. Do you realize our candidate is mental?ā€ Coulter said. ā€œIt’s like constantly having to bail out your 16 year old son from prison.ā€
Coulter went so far as to say, ā€œThis is the worst thing he’s done.ā€

:doh2:

Here is my question: why are Newt Gingrich and Ann Coulter surprised or for that matter uncomfortable about it? I honestly don’t get it. What did they think Trump was about? Trump has been amazingly, gut-wrenchingly consistent - I give him that. I think the rose-colored glasses have slipped off and it’s time to do a little damage, reputation control.

You are guessing trump’s suing her?

You are saying that like it’s a fact, and then Lily picks up on your pseudo fact and takes it further, claiming it shows how business practices don’t translate into politics, all the while when we don’t even know if Trump has sued her. In fact I did a search there is no indication whatsoever Trump has sued her.

See how lies are being created here?
I said it was my guess. Calm down.

We could also toss in Nazis, the inquisition and the destruction of Sodom to describe something as ā€œbadā€, all of which have as much to do with liberal Americans as does the ā€œReign of Terrorā€. It helps when trying to learn from history that we actually have some commonalities with current events.

Instead of saying once and for all he never has been unfaithful to his wife, cruz has chosen to not ā€œfocus on the election,ā€ but focus on framing trump as being involved in writing the story. šŸ™‚

Cruz cannot say this simple sentence: no I have not cheated on my wife.

Maybe that’s why he can’t sue.

A person in the public eye by choice (politicians, actors, Kardashians etc) have a higher time proving defamation.
Public figures have a more difficult time proving defamation. Politicians or celebrities are understood to take some risk in being before the public eye and many of them profit by their public persona. A celebrity must prove that the party defaming them knew the statements were false, made them with actual malice, or was negligent in saying or writing them. Proving these elements can be an uphill battle. However, an outrageously inaccurate statement that’s harmful to one’s career can be grounds for a successful defamation suit, even if the subject is famous. For example, some celebrities have won suits against tabloids for false statements regarding their ability to work, such as an inaccurate statement that the star had a drinking problem.

It would be one thing if say the New York Times ran a story like this. Not too many people believe that National Enquirer to be accurate journalism. So Cruz might not to waste time and energy and money on pursuing this case.
