Merriman-Webster offers “wimp” synonyms as softie, weakling, wuss and coward. Some antonyms are stalwart, powerhouse, titan and macho.

In what way was Romney a coward or weakling? What is it about Trump that makes him a powerhouse or titan?

Is it the way he insults people he doesn’t like by calling them idiots and morons? Or how he bullies people and organizations who are against his campaign by threatening to “go after” them as with the Chicago Cubs owners? I personally don’t find it powerful or manly to act like a 14yr old berating people on twitter that you doesn’t like, like calling Rosie a “fat pig” etc. How about his endless tweets about Megyn Kelly?

I cannot for the life of me figure out what people find attractive about this kind of person. He behaves like a petulant entitled teenager, not the next president of the United States.

I see a lot more fight in Trump than in Romney. The fact that Romney is more brave condemning trump, a friend who used to help him big league, than in confronting Obama his opponent in the race makes him a wimp for me. I don’t have to convince you but this is how I look at people.

You think Trump is more insulting than Romney? Romney has said about trump’s wives: “he’s got several foreign wives; I guess there are jobs Americans won’t do.” Those are romney’s words against trump. Truth is everyone is capable of insults. Those words of romney’s show that he’s lower than Trump. Trump doesn’t pretend to be a saint, but he sure knows loyalty and when to get tough. He’s loyal to his friends and his country, unlike other politicians who are two-faced and stand for special interests only.

I have no sympathy for megan kelly. She has grown so ugly in her efforts to bring down trump. She is fair game.

This is true. For centuries. To this day you still find the odd newborn in a trash bin somewhere, McDonalds bathroom, etc. Women have always disposed of unwanted children like this. Drowning puppies and kittens. (which I also oppose) I wonder how many pro-choicers out there agree with me on sparing puppies and kittens but not restricting abortion… At least I am consistent. Save the monarch butterflies, ozone layer and the humans.

The problem with legal abortion is that infanticide is sanctioned by society. The state/each individual determines what is moral. This can go anywhere. It does the most damage to those who engage in it, and then has a trickle down effect on the rest of us. It is spiritual sickness.

I do agree with that, but like Pope Paul VI in Humanae Vitae, I blame the “culture of death” on contraceptive use. It robs the sexual act of its primary purpose - procreation - and makes it something akin to recreation, instead. Once robbed of its primary purpose, the sexual act itself is devalued, and its fruits - children - are devalued.

Paul VI saw the dangers of contraception, but I don’t think anyone today, outside of the Church, is going to.

I’ll speak as a woman who is deeply offended by Trump’s long public history of insults and bullying of women. What Trump does to women is disgusting and degrading. And I have no use for feminism, never have. I do believe in respecting human dignity in everyone. But misogyny is misogyny no matter how cool and politically incorrect you want to try and paint it. I’ll give the Donald the last word.

I’m not going to look into the context of this interview but I don’t believe trump treats women like that. He’s had women executives in his company before anyone else did, and many of them are paid better than men. I don’t trust the media at all in their reports of what trump said because they twist the truth most of the time. What you see is probably more crassness and a bad joke than real misogyny, but i really don’t try to convince you. We all have our way of reading people.

It was pretty much agreed among lawmakers that women who had abortions were technically murderers; however, not prosecuting them would make them more likely to give up the name of the illegal abortionist. And shutting down the illegal abortionist would do more to stop abortions than prosecuting the women. So, in essence, women who had abortions prior to Roe v Wade were technically murderers who were given immunity to cooperate with law enforcement.

No doubt it would be that way if abortion should ever become illegal again. But the women who make the decision are still the ones who enable the abortionists. If abortion wasn’t a lucrative trade, no doctor would practice it. The doctors don’t care if the baby is born or not; they are in the abortion trade for the money.

Trump thrives on contradictions, sometimes within the same sentence, and most of his supporters do not pay attention to them.

This is simply not true. Trump very much lives in the present moment, and that explains why he seems to contradict himself. He’ll say someone is great, and the next day he might rip the person, but that’s because he’s living the moment and responds to what’s happening at that moment. Often times the media proof texts and has only one purpose: to find things that sound wrong. It’s easy to look at anybody’s speech and find faults, if that’s the only thing you are looking for. If the media decides to go after someone, it’s so easy to do. But you don’t hear ted cruz’s contradictions, you don’t hear about Hillary’s lies, you don’t hear about John Kasich’s hypocrisies, because trump is the target and he has been for a long time.

If they are able to take trump down, the next target will be whichever republican standing. It won’t be the democrat. It won’t be hillary.

I think he treats the women he likes well. I think he treats the women he doesn’t like badly. Does that make him a misogynist? I don’t know. Probably not. However, I think all people should be treated well whether we like them or not, unless of course they’re criminals, and Trump is not. Rosie O’Donnell and Megyn Kelly, who Trump spoke badly of, are not. They didn’t deserve to be called names.

I think if the great majority of the voters want Trump to be the GOP candidate, he should be. He will have earned it. He should at least get the first ballot votes. After that, I guess the rules say anyone can be nominated.

How did Hillary enable Bill’s past affairs? I don’t see her involvement. Should we be blaming Ivana for Trump’s affairs? I don’t.

She very involved in attacking these women . She literally tried to destroy Monica Lewinsky , Paula Jones and Juanita Broderick. Not to mention Kathleen Wiley. She knew it was going on but now has the utter arrogance and gall to claim that women should always be the believed when making these accusations. Perhaps you’re too young to remember her protestations about a vast white wing conspiracy and the daily attacks by her henchmen Lanny Davis and James Carville on any woman who dared tell the truth. Carville even claimed these women would be paid to level charges against him.

For instance, a teleprompter will probably help president trump a lot, but as a human being we have to live in the present. We have to read the current situation and be flexible in addressing each changing circumstance. You have to do both.

Rosie O’Donnell knows Trump thinks she’s a “fat pig,” but he really didn’t have to resort to name calling to let people know he doesn’t like her. There are certain people - not here - at my school - that I don’t like, but I’m not going to call them names. Diplomacy is called for in academia, too.

I don’t disagree. I believe trump has good visions for the country. He is very strong on the economy and national defense. He wants a strong and independent country that gets along with others from a position of strength. If you look at his interview in the 90s with various people such as Oprah, he’s been very consistent on trade and economical matters. He’s been very consistent on his core platform: trade, immigration, defense, veterans care.

Thank you for the information, Bob. I saw Monica Lewinsky recently, but I am too young to know about the others. I read about Gennifer (not a misspelling) Flowers in a book. She was during his governor days, I think. Both Gennifer and Monica had only good things to say about Bill. I know he’s more likable than Hillary; I don’t think any Hillary supporter will deny that. She doesn’t have natural charisma.

Romney didn’t release his own tax records until September. When Harry Raid accused Romney of not having paid taxes in ten years, guess who came to his defense? Trump. That’s right. Romney truly showed his character this year.

I think that at the end, trump is his worse ally. Yes, he has been outspoken, what people want to hear. But some of those things must be done behind closed doors.

Not all the media do. I heard, I think Wolf Blitzer, say to Trump, “You like to criticize others, but you can’t take a punch.” That seems to be true, some of the time. As in most things, Trump is inconsistent.
