Alcohol is a drug. Figures, put Donald Trump in front of a bunch of impressionable kids and they’ll be contradicting themselves within minutes. Donald is truly magical.
Oh my Gosh! Are you a baptist fundamentalist? Most catholics enjoy a little alcohol. I’d be a hypocrite if I tell my son no alcohol at all because I do enjoy a sip. You have issues with trump saying “take it easy with alcohol?”

It’s official. As long as trump talks, he will be criticized. If he doesn’t say anything, he’ll be criticized.

So were Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher. Heard a few people wish death on them when they were still alive.

Hi queenofheartscv. We haven’t spoken much, but I happened to read your post from earlier today,

and now I’m curious, are you by any chance Kayleigh McEnany?

Yet Hillary’s leftist views pale beside those of Sanders, with the notable exception of gun control. In fact, many liberals regard her as left of center in today’s Democratic Party. There has been a shift in labels in the two major political parties, which have both become more extreme than ever before. Trump, however, does not neatly fit any label since he is his own brand.
Agreed. Both parties have moved to the extreme. You are a hate-filled bigot if you defend traditional marriage as the cornerstone of society and a socialist if you want some form of nationalized health care to ensure all have reasonable access to care.

As for Trump not fitting any label, yes, I am with you on that. I don’t think anyone, including Trump, knows what he actually believes about anything. It is impossible (I am speaking literally not dramatically) to determine his view on anything. Most of his views have changed two or three times in the last few months, sometimes within days or the same day. And I don’t think there is a brilliant, cohesive strategy behind it; what you see is what you get.

I saw a TV story about how some polling group gave a series of random statements to Trump supporters telling them Trump had said them - they agreed with all of them. No questions asked. Trump had not said any of them.

Trump rally in Downtown Milwaukee tonight at 7pm at a venue that holds a little over 4000. Could be interesting. The Milwaukee Theatre is walking distance from Marquette University and the liberal East Side, acouple miles from the predominantly Hispanic near Southside and Chicago and Madison are less than a 2 hour drive. Might be interesting.

Would you have a link? I’d be interested in seeing that.

Polls are not much better than reading your fortune in a Chinese cookie. If someone asks people if they agree with a statement or not, they may have agreed because of the content of the statement. Of course, there is the possibility they were influenced by the name provided as having said this or that. How does it prove whether the choice was made to agree or not? How is it proved whether the statement mattered at all?

Example: George Washington stated, “the moon is made of green cheese”.
Code:
              Agree: ____yes _____no
(Anybody got any crackers?)

Why do you assume I don’t drink? I’m simply pointing out a contradiction. Alcohol is among the most dangerous drugs out there. It’s addictive and can kill you pretty quickly. His little pledge makes it seem like it’s not as bad. I mean you are swearing off every other drug except the one that causes the most problems (both societal and personal).

As far as recreational drugs go, alcohol is among the least fun and has a lot of negatives associated with it’s use (e.g. hangover). That said, I do really like a shot of brandy or whisky (or two) before bed.

Usually people don’t equate alcohol with drugs. That’s all. Trump was being realistic. You are trying to spin this into him contradicting himself; that’s simply not so.

:signofcross:

Continued prayers for the remaining Republican presidential hopefuls…particularly Trump.
