This is troubling but not surprising…everyday he pounds another nail into his own political coffin!

But still no apology for even oversight or insensitivity? Go figure!

"WASHINGTON — President Trump on Sunday retweeted a video of one of his supporters yelling “White power!,” once again using the vast reach of his social media platforms to inflame racial divisions in a nation roiled by weeks of protests about police brutality against black people and demands for social justice reforms.

The edited racist video shows a white man riding in a golf cart bearing “Trump 2020” and “America First” signs during what appears to be an angry clash over the president and race between white residents of a Florida retirement community. Mr. Trump deleted the tweet more than three hours after posting it.

In response to a protester shouting “Where’s your white hood?” and other taunts, the man in the golf cart pumps his fist in the air and says “White power!” twice. The two-minute video continues to show profane exchanges between protesters and other Trump supporters riding on more golf carts.

The president retweeted the video to his millions of followers just after 7:30 a.m., thanking “the great people of The Villages,” the Florida retirement community where the clash apparently took place. He added: “The Radical Left Do Nothing Democrats will Fall in the Fall. Corrupt Joe is shot. See you soon!!!”

The tweet was widely criticized as racist and insensitive, and again demonstrated the president’s willingness use social media to amplify some of the most hateful commentary of some of his followers, even at a moment of national unrest.

Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, the only black Republican senator, called the video “offensive” and asked Mr. Trump to take it off his Twitter page.

“There is no question he should not have retweeted it, and he should just take it down,” Mr. Scott said on the CNN program “State of the Union.” “We can play politics with it or we can’t. I’m not going to. I think it’s indefensible. We should take it down.”

What was Trump thinking?

Study Finds Fake News Spreads Faster Than Real News on Twitter

In late April 2013, the Twitter account of the Associated Press (AP) surprised its millions of followers after it tweeted that an explosion at the White House injured President Barack Obama. It garnered over 4,000 retweets and became one of the most expensive tweets in history after it caused stock prices to drop. While stock markets rebounded as soon as the tweet was confirmed to be fake, the damage had been done — it cost over $130 billion in stock value losses.

The incident was cited in a recent research by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which delved into 126,000 stories tweeted by around 3 million accounts from 2006 to 2017. The researchers, Soroush Vosoughi, Deb Roy, and Sinan Aral, found that fake news stories spread faster and were more likely to be retweeted than true stories.Fake news cascade down to between 1,000 and 100,000 Twitter users.

Has he ever apologized for anything? Has he ever admitted wrongdoing? Ever? Just once? Maybe he has… if so, it’s pretty darn rare.

He just doesn’t care.

One small thing he can do to unite the country in a small way is stop the tweets.

He won’t.

His tweets are a window to what he thinks, what he finds important and how much self control he lacks.

He isn’t president to just his base.

Yeah, and I’m not sure who is more shameful, him, or those who refuse to hold him to account.

I am beginning to like Tim Scott as a viable and attractive candidate for 2024

The “Cleanup on Aisle 5” nature of the Trump Presidency is exhausting.

So, obviously he meant to do it, got called on it, and deleted it.

Or, obviously, he’s the President but can’t pay attention to detail and accidentally retweets racists things.

Neither is a good look for the leader of the free world.

I would agree but won’t happen unless Trump is beaten and the Trump Republicans scatter like the tea party group did.

he is not interested in uniting the country. he is in it for power and ego. he will burn the country to the ground before he’d ever consider doing the proper thing.

Here is another view of your “St Louis couple pointing guns at protesters” story. Sorry, for this one you’ll have read further than just the headline.

These are homeowners on private property these “protesters” entered illegally and they were protecting their own property. There wasn’t a public sidewalk as some voices in the background claimed as the whole neighborhood, streets & sidewalks, is private fenced & gated property.

Just one more time the “news” doesn’t quite get all the facts in.

Is it illegal to have a firearm on private property in St Louis?
Missouri has liberal gun laws but Nico Bocur of Giffords’ Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence told BuzzFeed: “The right to bear arms does not give anyone the right to harass, intimidate and point guns at Americans they disagree with.”
If this is what you are relying on, sorry to tell you but it is an opinion of a group trying to restrict gun rights. It is not a law. If you had read the second story with the rest of the facts you see there was more to the story than what the leftist media wanted you to know.

Not directed just at you @PaulinVA
I can believe so many people still do not see how controlled they are by the leftist media. Here is a prime example. One story obviously limiting the video, using words in such a way to show bias against the homeowners, and leaving out key parts of the story in order to get a certain type of reaction. This article even implies the couple may done something illegal.

Then the rest of the story comes out, maybe one with some bias toward the right, but giving more detail about why the couple stood outside their home, on the steps of their home, in order to stop anyone from damaging their home.

Angrily exhibiting a weapon in the presence of one or more people is a class D felony in Missouri.

*571.030. Unlawful use of weapons — exceptions — penalties. — 1. A person commits the offense of unlawful use of weapons, except as otherwise provided by sections 571.101 to 571.121, if he or she knowingly:

(4) Exhibits, in the presence of one or more persons, any weapon readily capable of lethal use in an angry or threatening manner; or
