That is what is so sad, speaking as a conservative who hates political correctness. Of course it dramatically overreaches into today’s society through media, education, business, law. I actually get where Trump voters are coming from, which makes it excruciating to watch this GOP suicide at their hands. A Trump nomination alienates so many concerned voters on this issue, right and left. And the GOP has so many good quality options (Rubio; Cruz; Kasich) to get a more conservative White House and Supreme Court, to start to responsibly shift our country’s culture to the center - we all coexist; we don’t sue each other about baking cakes; we go to another baker. (to quote Kasich)
We all reject racism, xenophobia. Trump hurts the GOP brand to no end; he opens the door to extremism; it doesn’t matter what he believes, he irresponsibly feeds this frenzy because it motivates his voting demographic. It is unethical. (to me that alone is a ‘disqualifier’)
