Tucker: Can the left lead a country they hate?

Apparently I can’t watch the video because it is restricted and I need to sign in with something called a G Suite account.

To answer the question, however, I don’t see any evidence that “the left” in the United States hates their own country. Of course, there are people on the far left, and equally on the far right, who hate their own country, but these people are not in the mainstream. Most people who are in politics are there because they genuinely want what is best for their country.

In Britain, I think there are probably some on the far left (including within the Labour Party) who hate this country and our friends and allies, but they are very much in the minority. I was talking about Clement Attlee with a friend of mine who is a long way to the right, and the first thing he said was, “Well, Attlee was a patriot.” He went on to agree with me that Ernest Bevin was also one of the greatest patriots in this country’s history. Indeed, I believe that Churchill himself once said of Bevin that he was the finest socialist he had ever worked with.

To make it better.
Really.

Defund the police rhetoric is helping to lead to more shootings in NYC, Twin Cities, et al. But I forgot that’s called making it better.

Systemic racism in the inner cities, eh? That seems to be the pet excuse du jour. Who was in charge of those inner cities? Do you trust the leadership of the inner cities with the leadership of our country?

I wish questioning someone’s patriotism to their country was considered as flaggable as questioning someone’s faith in these forums.

Of course. Trump promised to fix it.
You’re dodging the question. Nice avoidance, that.

I’m speaking of the mayors, the councilpersons, the local police, the county supervisors, who have been running the inner cities for the last 50 to 60 years. With your flip answer, I take it you do not believe any blame should be assigned to them for the current state of affairs.

That is just a Google account. If you have any type of Google account (such as from an Android phone) it will get you signed in.

Thanks, but seemingly not. I am signed into Google permanently on my Android phone, but it said the video was restricted and that I needed a G Suite account. When I searched for G Suite, it said that subscriptions begin at £4.60 per month. I’ll see whether it works on my laptop, which is also signed into the same Google account.

From political satirist Mark Dice with some real footage from ABC News complaining about people in the National Parks.

The divisive hateful anti-American complaints from ABC were
based upon the color of the people’s skin.

It is demanding to expect everyone to watch 13+ minutes and then hold it against them if they comment without doing so. But yes, I watched it from start to finish.

It’s just Right Wing talking points leaping from issue to issue. Despite having nearly 14 minutes worth of a chance to do so, Carlson never once proves, let alone defends, his underlying premise. “You just hate America!” is a childish appeal to emotion, not a real argument.

Criticism isn’t hate. Carlson would do well to remember this.

So what?

It is demanding for people to ask me to review busy global warming charts too and comment on them.

Happens all the time.

If someone wants to harpoon an OP without watching or reading it just say so.

Just say . . . .

“I disagree with what your source said, but I don’t know what your source said.”

But it undermines the “critic” many times.

Thbolt . . .
Why don’t you talk about Blackforest’s criticism of Tucker’s points?
I think you should watch the video.
List Tucker’s points.

Then tell me what “point” blackforest addressed specifically.

Yesterday you were “criticizing” a Tucker story two or three minutes into my post.

Since the video was over 5 minutes, it suggested to me you didn’t even review it.

Here it is again . . .

Tucker: Democrats are the driving force behind racial division World News
I see I posted this 5 minutes ago. I see you posted your response 2 minutes ago Thbolt. Seeing this nobody has to worry about what you think Tucker has “to say” since mathematically, you have no idea of what Tucker said here on this post (unless you were watching Tucker on your own).
I just don’t take your criticisms in cases like that seriously Thbolt.

You evidently think your deflection “critiques” are appropriate.

Go ahead and think that on your own without me.

Think whatever you want.

There’s plenty of veterans who hate America. Serving in the military doesn’t make someone immune to criticism or condemnation.
Calling someone who served her country, lost her legs and won a purple heart a coward by someone who has never served is stupid.

And we all know that Trump has a lot of love for the American people.

Come on, Tucker, the wealthy of BOTH parties love America. Most of the candidates who run for office are quite wealthy.

That was Barack Obama’s promise and I heard Joe Biden make the same proclamation - to radically transform America.

If I buy a house and totally gut the house from the inside and make it the way I want it, it means I didn’t like the house the wat it was. I want to totally destroy what it was and make it how I want it. That is what Barack and Joe want to do.
A vote for Joe will be a vote for further transforming America a la Obama and
the liberal progressives.

I find it commical how much the group I joined in complaining about “the intolerant left” and “SJWs” for years has become EXACTLY what it’s been singing about. Explains why the same moderate voters who turned against the Democrats pre 2016 are now turning against Trump’s Right in droves. Funny watching Tucker pull a male Fox version of Rachel Maddow and people who laughed at her just go along with him.

“People who want to change what they consider problematic about their country hate it” is absolutely no different than “People who want to end abortions hate women.”

None.

The same rubbish they used to silence people who opposed the Iraq war.

I bet most people in other places don’t consider wanting changes to their countries’ laws or policies lack of patriotism or worse, “hatred.” Smh. The American Right has managed to make dissenting to a set of secular, man-made rules/institutions some kind of sin and they are labelling the left “intolerant.” Everyone should just look in the mirror. Also, dump both parties, probably.

Or, it could mean it was in a great spot, and had great basic structure, but you saw a lot of things that could be improved. If you “hated” it, you wouldn’t have bought it in the first place.
