I was referring to the ‘race card’.

I don’t care about the words used. The race card is the race card.
Let me get this straight, you don’t care about the words used…so how can you know when the ‘race card’ has been played, if the words are not what matter?

P.S. Is there some sort of alert that flashes on the teleprompter: warning - race card used, warning - invalidate, invalidate, race card used…?

I don’t play cards, sorry. I was referring to Coulter’s actual words - the utterances issued from her mouth yesterday (unless it was some sort of camera trick).
Well, that’s fine. I’ll refrain from posting some left-wing blog comments about Ms. Rice.

Depends on the issue. If it regards committing troops to war, I prefer leaders to base their position on the most current and relevant data. With regards to social issues, most of it is based on time tested moral principles that don’t change. I don’t see any “new information” that would have a politician go from being pro-life to pro-abortion. The data supports the pro-life position. Just sayin’…There are some things that if a politician/candidate flip-flops on, it can be devastating.
There have been many pro choice to pro life conversions, just watch the popular documentary ‘180.’ Look at Abby Johnson, director of a Planned Parenthood clinic, now a pro life advocate. People can have authentic conversions. And since Romney has a pro life record, he voted in support of pro life legislation, I think I trust him on his pro life conversion.

That’s why I didn’t try to destroy his blissful state. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.
Usually, people who think they are above partisan politics are rooting around in the lowest mud of it. 🤷

As much as Ms. Coulter. I can see my time is being wasted.🤷
Excuse me. Did I force you into this conversation? Ms Coulter commented on the topic of this thread (rather insultingly I might add). Ms Rice to my knowledge, generally keeps her opinions to herself these days and has an air of dignity about her when she does speak. I simply fail to see how she even enters this discussion.

‘Enormous’ is such a relative term and ‘embarrassment’, well let’s just say the Church has had its share of those. I seem to recall some "embarrassments’ who matured to sainthood. So don’t knock the concept of human imperfection - it can take you pretty far.
By all accounts Father Phleger , in spite of his occasional overtly political remarks, has been an outstanding priest and has served his parish well for several decades.

There you go. Although, it remains baffling to me how we went from Cain and the comments about his predicament to figures like Fr Phleger and Ms Rice. Of course, I do love a good stew even when I can’t figure out what all is in it…😉

Ya, well, look what happened to Tertullian. 🤷 He would have been a saint and considered a Doctor of the Church had he not fallen down the rabbit hole of Montanism.

Cain’s topping the polls. Not sure that this story hasn’t simply cemented his support.

Could there be a Cain - Obama match-up? All we need are more obstacles on the road to the ballot box and some ‘hanging chads’…the “brain-washed” masses won’t know what hit them…

Just like we went to Ann Coulters.

I am not sure that there would be many left-wing blog comments would that would pass the rules against foul language in this forum. We can all surmise what the left-wing blogosphere would be saying about the likes of Condi Rice though. Seeing what the left wing bloggers have posted about Michelle Malkin, all the sexual and racist taunting and innuendo, has taught me all I really need to know about what the left is capable of.

You were so hung up on a conservative commentators remarks from one day I thought I’d throw in a little reminder of all the commentators and people who felt it was so important that Obama be elected because he was black.

I was not hung up on the remarks, I was simply hoping to hear your opinion on those comments. Of course it was more relevant to remind me of totally unrelated comments on race (not at all applicable to these accusations) made by “the left” in the past…I mean, we all know that “the right” makes the rules* only *so that “the left” can be judged by them.
