How you feeling about Biden winning there mark??
Extreme disappointment. But, I got up and went to Church today per usual, and likewise, I’ll go to work Monday morning as scheduled. No need for Play-Doh, Legos, therapy dogs or coloring books like the twenty-something college children needed. By the way, my name is Mark…not mark!

No, not all— just the ones who swore they were catching a plane to another country if President Trump won!!!

Yes I absolutely love playing chess.

Although I don’t like playing chess with a cheater. In this case my opponent had about 6 queens instead of one. Would this be a fair game? If my opponent won would that be surprising?

Instead, what if we started with the same pieces and may the best man win.

Make sense?

When discussing politics, elections and healthcare issues in the United States here at a Catholic forum, you can not skip discussing abortion. It plays deeply into the politics here and this thread is a political thread about the recent elections here in the United States and abortion was a big issue on the ballot.

Asking us to not talk about abortion and politics is like asking during the Civil War for people not to bring up slavery, which I am sure those who supported it did.

Abortion is the moral issue of our day because if healthcare is not going to care for the least among us as Christ told us to do, it won’t adequately care for those born.
I think the real problem in this as I stated it earlier, is that abortion destroys some people’s narrative that they are not the racist ones since they seem to like to accuse others of it so often.

What better way to quiet things down than accuse others of derailing threads when it exposes this hypocrisy.

Any chess player resigns when the game is over, even though the “checkmate” has not been announced yet.
Not always. Sometimes they play on hoping for a draw by stalemate.
It is elementary courtesy not drag out a hopeless situation, in the vain hope that the other party will make a blunder, and lose…
True. but some chess players do not have elementary courtesy.
