Actually there is no real philosophical difference, since both parties believe in big government. Republicans did not propose any spending cuts, nor did they cut spending when they controlled congress.

That’s like saying a guy who steals a piece of gum and a guy who robs a cash register at gun point are both equally thieves.

Yes, some Republicans have fallen into the trap when in power and have erred, but the Democrats are a million times worse. To make them both somehow the same is fundamentally false.

The fact is, there has never been a republican congress that cut spending. That doesn’t mean some have erred, it means the majority has erred.
 
The sad truth is that those who will be affected the most are precisely those military families who have sacrificed so much for our country and get little to nothing in return. :nope:

You have some secret knowledge that says that the republicans really believe in small government but that some devil forces them to keep increasing spending?

The fact is that ONLY a Republican Congress has balanced a budget in our lifetime, under Newt Gingrich.
