Real good night for Romney. Old uncle Biden doesn’t stand a chance against Paul Ryan in their upcoming debate on Oct 11th either.

Here’s the Romney/Obama debate in full on youtube > youtu.be/vEBwp2IAdMA

Meltzer, I watched CNN and MSNBC but you and I watched the same MSNBC. No idea which MSNBC the other poster watched.
The same one Meltzerboy and I watched saying that the panelists: Maddow, “I’ll have another drink” Matthews, “not-so” Sharpton, That bald dude with the goatee (token Republican I’m guessing), O’Donnell, Schultz and Chris “I wanna be like Maddow” Hayes conceded Romney won the debate, to much of their disappointment 🤷

Although Romney has supported abortion in the past, currently he does not… and He has never supported it to the radical extreme the P.O. has… and I don’t think he would outrightly support euthanasia as P.O. does… and I am p.d.s. he is not in support of redefining marriage… so on the whole he is more positive on the moral side

I can’t wait for the vp debate… pretty sure Ryan will have the floor clean by the end of it:D

Please fight your conditioning and read what I actually post. I say this with all due charity.
Calling me brainwashed is not charitable.

Enough of this as I said your conscience not mine. I’m not going to argue people’s assumptions with you, especially since you take their assumptions as fact.

Moving On.

:rotfl:

This is how people twist Romney’s win into an Obama win. Classic liberal logic. 😃
It’s called arithmetic rLg and anyway I thought maybe you and Ishii were awaiting me. So thought I’d make an appearance. 😛 You guys have a fun night.

He clearly stated he would cut tax credits in this debate, I’m sure that youtube clips will be available shortly.

I also clearly stated that my statements were not pro Obama.

Please fight your conditioning and read what I actually post. I say this with all due charity.

Since it is acknowledged the statements regarding tax credits cannot be refuted, again in charity I am happy to move on to other subjects…

…Not to mention both have no problems with signing tax payer funded abortion into law - because Romney has already done that. Anyone notice how proud he is of that? How he and Obama pat each other on the back for that?
Vandgaurdian, Obama supports partial birth abortion. Romney chose pro-life Ryan as veep and Robert Bork. You seem to be on some strange mission to smear Romney. Good luck with that, because the facts are otherwise - I think you’re a one-person chorus.

Remember to be charitable now… no need to get personal.

Could you provide an instance where Romney signed Pro-Life legislation into law?

Ya know, to counter the FACT that he signed tax payer funded abortion into law two years after his so-called “Pro-Life conversion”?

You’re being a sport about it, Cmatt. That is admirable. You’re right - on to the next debate. Mondale beat Reagan in the 1st debate in 1984, and Reagan came back, and Bush came back against Kerry. However, I think the circumstances are different this year. If Romney brings a similar “A” game to the next two debates, it could pose problems for Obama.

It’s funny, those who claim what Mr.Romney will do:

When Mr Obama can’t garner ONE DEMOCRAT vote for his budget

President Obama’s budget suffered a second embarrassing defeat Wednesday, when senators voted 99-0 to reject it. Coupled with the House’s rejection in March, 414-0

Signing Pro-life legislation isn’t the only measure of pro-life credentials. I would agree - Romney’s past record is not perfectly pro-life. However, looking at his more recent major decisions - picking Ryan, e.g., reassure me that he will pick good justices to overturn Roe V Wade, which is about the most a president can do on the abortion issue, and is what Romney has said he will do. Do you not see the difference between the NARAL, partial birth abortion Obama and the Romney/Ryan ticket?

So, at least it is now acknowledged, judging by his actions and his character, Romney is not Pro-Life.
More so he is an absolute liar.

Thanks for clearing that up.
👍

Let’s see:

As a state senator, Barack Obama opposed a law to provide equal treatment for children born alive after a failed abortion.

In Congress, Obama supported a law to block parental notice.

As President, he signed Obamacare, the biggest ever expansion of tax-subsidized abortions, even for abortions just because the baby is a girl.

PLUS ALL OF THESE:

Better get something to drink - the list is long

Watching re-runs… I have a question for liberals/dems/Obama supporters… why are specifics so important for Romney to provide? I don’t remember O having any in his last election run, and Obamacare is an unprecedented non-specific… we still don’t know all the specifics, as they haven’t all even been written…

Please read forum rules here at CAF
I have.

Romney claimed to be Pro-Life in 2004.
Romney-care provided tax-payer funded abortion as law in 2006.
Romney signed tax-payer funded abortion into law after he stated that he was Pro-Life.

Trust me when I say that Romney is a “liar”, it is in all charity.
It is the only way to describe him charitably.
There are much harsher terms I could, and would rather, use.

Perhaps I could call him “crazy”?
That seems to be an acceptable term to describe politicians in this forum, especially if they are 100% Pro-Life obstetricians.

Or is there some rule I overlooked that states one must not ever-ever-ever criticize Romney in particular?
🤷

Vangaurdian, don’t act like a child.
There are different degrees of being pro-life.
Very few Catholics even meet all the expectations of the Church.
Personally, I’ll accept the endorsement of NARAL on this topic: “There is no doubt that former Gov. Mitt Romney is anti-choice.”

Hopefully people will start to see the emperor has no clothes, or the chair is empty.

Because the specifics will need to be negotiated with the congress and senate.
If Romney says loophole A is axed now, the Dems will twist it against him,
and later they will fight for that loophole to remain,
anything to embarrass the new President.

Romney is doing the smart thing.

Thanks Ishii. Contrary to popular opinion even a liberal like myself may have an admirable quality or 2. 👍

Thanks Tarboy… I totally agree.
I was just curious as to the logic of the left using non-specifics as an attack against Romney
