“Stick it”? Stick what? I simply noted that if people are horrified that lesbians exist and don’t resign themselves to living under rocks, they’re probably even more horrified to learn that she grew up Catholic and attended Catholic schools. Frankly if this fact gets under people’s skins (as I assume it will), that’s their problem and not mine.
It should get under people’s skin though. If they’re properly catechized as you suggest on said teachings, and yet they still reject them, all the more reason to pity them. They’re rejecting more than the RCC…they’re rejecting Christ…no? Their soul is in danger…is it not? It’s one thing to not be properly informed about what the church teaches and to continue on with your reckless lifestyle. But it’s quite another thing to be properly catechized, knowing precisely what the Church has taught for 2000 yrs. to be infallibly true, and with full knowledge of this basically say to Christ and his Church; “No…I will not obey!” I certainly wouldn’t be so blasé about it as it would appear from your following remark;Nope. But I know from personal experience that one can understand the Church’s teachings on homosexuality and still reject them. I also know from personal experience that many (gay or straight) who do so also understand the CCC and still reject it. It’s only here that I run into folks who assume those who disagree just don’t understand.
Peace, MarkFor those with “problems” with Wambach, get ready to have your feathers even further ruffled: she attended an all-girls Catholic high school. The horror!![]()
