There’s way more than three. I don’t need to do your research for you. If you want to vaccinate your kids I’m fine with it. Just don’t ask me to vaccinate mine.

The whole “educate yourself” line is a telltale sign of someone who does not have a case. If you are so sure you know what you are talking about, I’m sure you can list some stuff in seconds.

Some folks will never let a simple misunderstanding get in the way of a good outrage headline.

strong text
Except that a professional educator who admits never having read the First Amendnent goes beyond being a “simple misunderstanding.” Then there’s shaming the boy in front of the whole class - unprofessional.

Sure I could. But to what end? We both do what we feel is best for our kids and that should be enough. Don’t tell me how to care for my kids and I won’t tell you how to care for yours.

That’s all just fake news and big pharma propaganda.
I’m glad you see the light!
What? That in the last hundred or so years the child mortality rate has plummeted? You believe that’s fake news?

No, but if you make the claim it’s up to you to back it up…not to tell the person to go “look it up for themselves”. That’s the latest: I’m going home and taking my ball with me.

Okay: I see that you cannot substantiate your claims for a minute of your oh so precious time.

I really hope you are trolling because Lord help you if you are not.

Can you all take this debate to PM and quite derailing the thread?

Oh, yeah?

I choose to work because I want to eat, have shelter, and build some retirement savings. I don’t hate my job, but it’s sure not the best and it’s killing me slowly. I don’t have any other choice except in dreams and visions and fantasies. And I’m not willing to live off all the rest of you and accept a ride from the government.

Sorry, I’m out on a job site and did not remember. Thank you.

Okay, here’s three:

Death

Bell’s palsy

Transverse myelitis

My point was that I’d prefer to gamble with the possibility of catching a disease than what I believe is the greater possibility of a vaccine injury. I don’t need to convince you. I really couldn’t care less if you didn’t agree. I’ve done the research and I’m confident in what I have learned. You raise your kids however you choose and I’ll do the same. Fair enoough?

Why should I have to stop at a red light? If I think I can make it through, why can’t I just run right through the red light?

Why should I have to park my car on a certain side of the street when it snows? Let the snowplow go around my car!

Why should babies have to be tested with for various conditions right after they are born?

Why should I have to allow all people to apply for a job or rent my apartment, and not just “certain people” that I feel “comfortable” with?

Amen!!!

I think many are asking for the research / links to the peer reviewed studies.

That’s fine, my only issue is when the way a person chooses to raise their kids can put other people at harm, specifically if they can expose an illness to high risk individuals–specifically babies/young children who are too young to get the vaccination protecting them from exposure…fair enough?

That’s exactly what I thought. No one at this school was arguing that the kid shouldn’t be allowed to wear a religious symbol. The teacher clearly didn’t understand what it was and both she and the school apologized and admitted that they were wrong to tell him to remove them. Rather than accept the apology, they try to start a media war? Is that the point of Ash Wednesday now?

I have a really hard time believing that the teacher actually said that. In most states, Utah included, student have to pass a civics test on the constitution in order to graduate from high school. There is no way anyone could be licensed as a teacher without having read the first amendment.
