I’ve yet to encounter a right-wing nationalist movement that I could ever regard as “good”.Good nationalism is generally of the non left side of politics.

Well we could talk about examples and whether the term ‘right-wing’ makes sense.I’ve yet to encounter a right-wing nationalist movement that I could ever regard as “good”
On that we agree.Your own Scottish National Party is an example of a Left wing nationalist group that while possessing the characteristics of Left wing nationalists outlined above, have not in any way ( I know) been promoting the evil that has come out of that side of politics. They should be commended.
Oh, Vouthon, you don’t have to be from abroad!A person from abroad would think we were speaking a foreign language at times, to hear certain Scots
Squeak? Ouch!Cockney is a high-pitched, sort of squeaky patois, whereas Scottish accents are very deep and manly.
Ahem, I know I’m treading on egg-shells here, but I guess you haven’t heard former ‘Eastenders’ soap star, Joe Swash, speaking yetSqueak? Ouch!
There is no way to distinguish “proper” pronunciation. There are a number of standard pronunciation schemes, and there are a number of non-standard ones. Different pronunciations are appropriate to different groups and to different registers.Contrary to queen’s English purists, there is no “ideal” way of speaking.
Indeed, it has the whiff of stuffy-old Etonian, colonial bias to me.But apart from all that, the assertion that the pronunciation peculiar to a particular dialect is “unacceptable” is, frankly, insulting.
Scots, wha hae wi’ Wallace bled,
Scots, wham Bruce has aften led;
Welcome to your gory bed,
Or to victory!
If it was good enough for the Mitfords, it’s good enough for me!Different pronunciations are appropriate to different groups and to different registers.
Ooh, you’re so posh!If it was good enough for the Mitfords, it’s good enough for me!![]()
And I’ve become a sort of Southern-England-grammar-school-TheresaMaysoundalike (male version), which don’t sound pretty.very U
In reality I’ve become something of the sum of the places I’ve lived
