Biden is laughing and smiling so often while Ryan is speaking that it almost looks like he’s not taking the debate seriously. Is he not aware the debate is being broadcast on most networks in a split screen format that shows both candidates at the same time?

Hubby and I were thinking the exact same thing. He seems to think he is debating a little kid. It’s seriously annoying. He should have a poker face. I don’t think he’s taking it seriously at all.
 
Ryan is getting trounced. Everything he says sounds two-dimensional and rehearsed to death.
 
If this was a smiling contest, Biden wins going away…too bad it’s not.
 
I’m actually Very impressed with the moderator, and Biden is sighing, smiling/laughing, and getting angry

Yep. The snickering/smirking/snorting is not coming across well, at all.

On top of that, he keeps interrupting Ryan, even though the speaking time-clock shows that he’s had more speaking time than Ryan (just as Obama had more time during the last debate, I might add).
 
I am sure Biden is exciting the base. But his condescending snarky attitude is turning everyone else off.
 
I dvr’d it and am about 20 minutes behind, but Ryan had a slam dunk with the Scranton unemployment rate, and his “The Vice President knows that words don’t always come out the way you want them.”

The first audience reaction of the debate. I don’t see Ryan getting trounced, but I also don’t see the thrashing Obama suffered.

So far, it’s pretty “Meh.”
