Last question: “A decorated solider told me about how disgusted he was with the politicians and tone of this campaign. What do you tell him?”

Biden: [insert anti-Romney talking points here]
Romney: [insert anti-Obama talking points here]

Truly unbelievable. There is truly no shame in our political system.
 
Biden keeps whinging that he isn’t being given enough time… as the speaking clock on CNN shows, he’s had more time than Ryan the entire evening! :rolleyes:

Ryan has come across so earnest and excited, eager to take on the job… compared to obama’s fatigue is radical:thumbsup:
 
My issue with Ryan’s reply about abortion is that he rightly says life begins at conception. Then how can Romney and Ryan be OK with abortion in the cases of rape, incest, life of the mother, etc.? There’s still a life involved.

Other than that, I thought he did a great job with that question, and good for him mentioning the HHSS mandate.

True. The right response to Biden would have been:

“So you believe that life starts at conception… so by connection you are advocating for the continued legalization of murder in America.”

This would have forced Biden to back away from his (obviously false) statement of faith in Catholic doctrine
 
I think Biden is representative of the kind of politics that has made many people become independents

I think that answered the question about if they are ever embarrassed by the tone.
 
I call it a draw… Biden early did well, Ryan did well through out most of it though being a nice guy may have taken a few punches early on… debate is probably 'inconsequential" as a whole.

Romney has the exceptions, Ryan does not.

Teach a man to fish vs. give a man a fish. Biden said “what the middle class cares about” then listed a bunch of government programs. NO. Get the economic conditions right so I don’t need to rely on government programs. Biden does not understand the middle class.
 
Wolf Blitzer called it a draw. He is not right wing

That is a win for Romney/Ryan because Obama did so bad that Biden needed a knock out and he did not get it

I’m middle class, I work. Members of my family and friends are not working, not by choice but to do economics (no blaming here, just stating what “is”)…so for them, no assistance…no help. Cardboard boxes under a bridge perhaps?
