Christians are also called to love everyone, regardless of faith. 🤷

That doesn’t mean however that no other faith system exists in the world, and that we need to dialogue and talk to people.

I’ve lived in southern Spain all my life. Some of my closest friends are Sunni Muslims from Morocco. 🤷 Most of the others are fallen away Catholics who are either lukewarm believers or even explicitly identify as atheist. That doesn’t mean I don’t love them, even if I disagree with their worldview or theology. 🤷
Do you believe Muhammad was deceived by Satan Micosil?

Or was He a true Prophet?

.

Just as Muhammad’s construct of Allah took elements recognizable to Christians and Jews and were further remade in his image, so Bahai take elements of Jesus and remake Him into their own image. Neither are the fullness of Truth, the original teaching, nor authentic to the actual followers.

It’s as American as Liberian democracy or democratic as Iranian elections. The facade and terminology are used and invoked, but the result is unrecognizable.
Is Jesus Christ the Messiah recognisable to the Jews?

Why does God work this way?

To test His loved ones so they are prepared for His embrace.

.

Indeed I do.

The point is Micosil, what does any of the above have to do with how we live together in concord, love and harmony?

It is only when we INSIST on these differences that disharmonies arise.

Why don’t we all pray to the one God, using our own different ways, under one roof, appreciate the spirit present within all our hearts while we pray, then be joyful together, break bread together, respect each other’s dietary habits (no ones gonna die if we eat kosher or halal food) then assess what are some of the charitable needs in our communities and look at ways in which we can eliminate the problems sustainably, all together.

Let us educate our children on these capacities for community building.

Is that really so hard to do?

Would Christ frown on this plan?
Would Muhammad frown on this plan?
Why do we frown on this plan?

.
In principle I agree with all of this; thing is, right now we’re on a thread that is called “Was Muhammad a Prophet of the Judeo-Christian God ?” and we have to give logical and rational reasons to either defend the claim, or refute it.

There’s other options as well – maybe he was honestly mistaken and not necessarily deceived by a fallen angel. Maybe he hallucinated. I don’t think he was a true Prophet, no – but he wasn’t necessarily possessed/oppressed either. 🤷

So you believe Christianity is false?
It’s not as black and white as that Jimmy.

MORE Truth has been revealed, and clarifications to mysteries given. Minor corrections offered. The spirit heightened. The flesh removed altogether and the Kingdom unveiled.

I was just answering your question dear friend.

I appreciate that you are looking for rational reasons for Muhammad’s Prophethood, but there is none better than the 1.6 billion people who pray to YOUR God, and fast for a whole month with reverence and subservience and humility.

This is UNHEARD OF in polytheistic tribal culture. Fasting and prayer to the one God, giving to charity, with love and reverence is pretty close to Christian spirit isn’t it?

A hallucination or an confusion does not induce such huge changes in the human heart.

If they are praying to our God, why do they have to face towards Mecca ?

No it isn’t. Monotheistic Hindus, theistic Buddhists, Jains all do this.

Yes, intertwine with worship of the Triune God.
A hallucination or an confusion does not induce such huge changes in the human heart.
Placebo effect? Benny Hinn has mastered this among his sect.

“The earliest (documented) Christian knowledge of Muhammad stems from Byzantine sources, written shortly after Muhammad’s death in 632. In the Doctrina Jacobi nuper baptizati, a dialogue between a recent Christian convert and several Jews, one participant writes that his brother “wrote to [him] saying that a deceiving prophet has appeared amidst the Saracens”. Another participant in the Doctrina replies about Muhammad: “He is deceiving. For do prophets come with sword and chariot?, …[Y]ou will discover nothing true from the said prophet except human bloodshed”.Though Muhammad is never called by his name, there seems to have been knowledge of his existence. It also appears that both Jews and Christians viewed him in a negative light.”

"“There is also the superstition of the Ishmaelites which to this day prevails and keeps people in error, being a forerunner of the Antichrist…. From that time to the present a false prophet named Mohammed has appeared in their midst. This man, after having chanced upon the Old and New Testaments and likewise, it seems, having conversed with an Arian monk, devised his own heresy. Then, having insinuated himself into the good graces of the people by a show of seeming piety, he gave out that a certain book had been sent down to him from heaven. He had set down some ridiculous compositions in this book of his and he gave it to them as an object of veneration.”

-St. John Damascene (d. 749), Syrian Arab Catholic monk and scholar. Quoted from his book On Heresies under the section On the Heresy of the Ishmaelites (in The Fathers of the Church. Vol. 37. Translated by the Catholic University of America. CUA Press. 1958. Pages 153-160.) "

Can one really argue that Muhammad was actually a saintly soul who wanted to only bring people closer to God, but his Clergy misunderstood him and perverted his doctrine ?

**Thanks for this informative and factual post. In my previous post I compared Muhammad to Moses. Here I would like to point out the fact that both were military commanders.
That is my way of understanding the militancy of Islam, a religion which is 2000 years behind Judaism, and, at the same time, ahead of it in regards to the acceptance of Isa.

Now Islam has its messiah and with him, a new understanding.
This messiah has left his teaching that jihad is forbidden, that we must have a world government, that men’s glory must not be in loving their country, but in loving their fellow man.

All religions have had inherent mistakes, but none want to admit such. For the Baha’is it is the mistaken notion that Jesus’s corpse did not vanish from inside His sealed tomb, but is actually buried somewhere in Jerusalem.
For us Christians, its taking the notion of legitimate self-defense too far and building up a massive force of nuclear retaliation, enough to threaten the very existence of mankind. This is the travesty of travesties.

At what point in time in History did Islam go off the tracks ?
The Book of Revelation tells you this, as it describes exactly how the message of Muhammad Unfolded.

It was clothed in sackcloth. On the passing of Muhammad the rightful successor Ali was rejected.

The Faith of Muhammad still gave many fruits to mankind, but just as Christianity before it could not gain its full potential because on mans interference.

Thus the need for the New Heaven and New Earth and fulfillment of all the promises.

Wirh Muhammad, It is all scriptural.
