Doubtless, Eric Holder and the DOJ will be right on top of this.

Obama nearly matches 2008 monthly fudnraisign record
**According to the campaign’s tweets, 1,825,813 people donated to the campaign in September and, despite the sluggish economy and less enthusiasm for Obama than in 2008, 567,000 of those donors were new, meaning they had not donated to the campaign before in 2008 or 2012.
In addition, 98% contributions to the Obama campaign in September were $250 or less, and the average contribution was $53.
Under Federal Election Commission (FEC) regulations, campaigns have to make their “best efforts” to collect information about contributors who donate $50-$200, but those who donate less than $200 do not have to be publicly disclosed.
Further, all donations less than $50 fall under the “Pass-the-Hat” rule, which means campaigns do not have to make their “best efforts” to collect identifying information on these donors and can actually report all such donations under a lump sum.
This means that the Obama campaign must legally disclose only about half of its September donors.**
David Plouffe, the campaign’s senior adviser who was Obama’s campaign manager in 2008, in his 2009 book, The Audacity to Win, compared the campaign’s online fundraising performance in 2008 to an erupting volcano.

“There were times when we were raising $250,000, $300,000, even $500,000 an hour,” Plouffe wrote. "It was remarkable, and critical.”

The Obama campaign and the DNC’s September 2012 numbers fall a bit short of the record $190 million they raised in September 2008. In 2008, the Obama campaign was investigated for allegedly accepting donations made from untraceable pre-paid credit cards, which would allow donors to exceed the donation limits placed on them by the FEC.

On Thursday, the Washington Examiner reported a “taxpayer watchdog group” conducted a nine-month investigation and found many of Obama’s donations may be coming from overseas and slipping through whatever security measures the campaign has employed against such illicit donations. The Examiner said national news outlets may be working on a potential “blockbuster” story the Obama campaign has actively tried to block.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin even suggested Obama may have been distracted by these reports and potential scandals, and they may have partially been responsible for his “terrible” debate performance against Mitt Romney last Wednesday.

Regardless of where the donations are coming from, the Obama campaign has proven during the last two election cycles that it has a dedicated number of “people” willing to donate to the campaign in the most important fundraising month, and this is what makes the organization formidable heading into November.

Below are the tweets @BarackObama sent on Saturday announcing the campaign’s September fundraising numbers.

Excellent. I hope that this is the one that sticks.🙂
IF it is found to be Russian contributions…One would seriously have to ponder the “open mike” conversation.
“On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved, but it’s important to give me space,” said our leader, master of wink-wink, nudge-nudge, and Medvedev got it, smiled back, seemed buoyant: "Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you … " While maybe not needing to, Obama explained more.
“This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility,” he said, with Medvedev all but sticking a $5 bill in Obama’s shirt pocket as he replied again how he understood and would “transmit this information” to Vladimir Putin, who is Russia’s czar, or if that title is wrong, something very much like that.

Dishonesty CHARACTERIZES Obama, his campaign, his supporters, his ads. He simply has no problem in lying, looking the American people in the eye and just lying. He lied during the debates, Stephanie Cutter lied, Debbie Wasserman Shulz caught on camera contradicting what she had just said to the reporter batted her eyes and proclaimed “I never said that!”

The whole Ben Ghazi debacle has been lies from day one. Now Hillary is asking “Don’t jump to conclusions until the investigation is done” which conveniently is after the election.

His first campaign was filled with funny money, donors that included cartoon characters and an entire football team, ACORN’s numerous registration violations.

Suddenly there is a huge influx of donors and the unemployment figures defy gravity. Why does ANYONE believe this man? He is so incredibly dishonest that even his supporters have to wonder what he’s up to this time.

I hope something sticks on this one…before the election

👍👍👍

Excellent. If people see Chicago-style politics at work nationally, the electorate may react negatively to the Obama campaign machine.
This is why I am not a fan of early voting, particularly six weeks out:eek:

I have been admonished for not being charitable…trying hard to overcome my reputation :). What I really think about the Chicago Machine and that particular group of Democrats is not printable…

As Hugh Hewitt says, if it’s not close they can’t cheat! So here’s to an overwhelming victory to the Romney/Ryan ticket!

Are you referring to ‘hanging chads’ by any chance or to the real ACORN of this election?

I have zero faith that the mainstream media organizations will pursue this with any sort of vigor at all. It will show up on Fox and people will dismiss it because of that.

I have no idea what you are talking about. The “hanging chad” issue was twelve years ago. I hope you’ve gotten over your disappointment in Bush’s victory.

ACORN has been dismantled due to their many violations and illegal activities before and during the 2008 campaign. I understand they resurrected somewhat and were participating in Occupy Wall Street but not to the extent of their original size.

A government that needs to control everything will have more scandals than a smaller government committed to subsidiarity. It is inevitable. Subsidiarity is only partly about efficiency–it is mostly about the prevention of tyrrany. Thomas Jefferson and John Paul the Great could agree on that.

Obama Raises $181 Million, Only Around 2% of Donations Reportable

So this story will never break, will it? it probably isnt true.

So this story will never break, will it? it probably isnt true.
Or you could conclude that unlike the fairy tale that broke immediately after the Ben Ghazi attack, the reporters are making sure they actually have some facts to back up the headlines. The headline here was a question not a statement.

Remember this meme? “Ambassador Assassination Due to Anti Islamic Video” They kept that one going for three weeks and now are saying…oh never mind…

You feel that breitbart is a worthy source? Most folks believe it is highly fringe and conspiratorial yellow “journalism”.

You’ve got to be one the only kids in the US who reviews such propaganda. Do you have other young friends who check out breitbart in their spare time?
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Coming from someone who believes Huffpost - MSNBC - Guardian etc?

Instead of using an ad hominem a logic fallacy ] - try refuting the story???

I don’t read those publications. I don’t read openly biased material- Right or Left- or at least give it much credence- as I am not an ideologue.

I find opinions with no perspective and ability to see both sides worthless.

Huggers. 🙂
