I am just relaxing instead of doing all the work I should be. It was a tiring morning with first Holy Communion (FHC) preparation before mass, Children’s Liturgy of the Word and after mass the practice session for the readers from FHC. So instead of preparing for next week and studying, I have been a couch potato. I have also been rejoicing at a honorary Great Nephew officially becoming my Great Nephew. He was the first foster child placed with my niece and her husband, allegedly for a few weeks which turned into over a year, followed by a failed placement with a member of his biological family and a return to my niece. My Great Nephews have had that child as a sibling for years but with the uncertainty of being forced to leave them. As far as the rest of the family are concerned, he has always been one of us and now it is official. Whoopee.
Now that just leaves the other two children who were placed with my niece for a few weeks and have been there over a year. And as my niece and her husband have one female and six male children, I have suggested that they find another five girls to even up their family (I suspect a long wait or a life of hope).
