Oh yeah, it’s huge. They always have it in late Nov/ early December and then broadcast it on Christmas Day, but what gets broadcast is only a small part of the parade. It is a big deal here. I think half the county shows up, hence the traffic snarl and parking mess since half of the “downtown” here is Civil War-era.

He’s hilarious and there are several videos of him on QVC.

Took my family out for my birthday went for an hour and a half drive away saw a wonderful Christmas parade and afterwards took the kids to the park with fish n chips on way home now and hope to catch the Saturday night mass

Today I plan to at least start finishing the Christmas stockings I pull out each year. Sewing and embroidering Christmas stocking sure seemed like a good idea back when I only had one kid. Then it seemed like we had another each year. It would be nice if this year no one had a grocery store bag hanging on the fireplace as a glaring sign of my craft fails.

My local parish is putting on Handel’s Messiah at 2 pm for free. Just a “free will offering” required.
Much easier and nicer than having to buy an expensive ticket and parking to see a production of it at some big hall.

Before I do that, I have to re-create a tag for the gift I bought for the Giving Tree at the church up the street. I left the original tag hanging on the refrigerator while I went away for Thanksgiving, but since it had a piece of yarn for the tie, my cats apparently decided it was a toy, and ate the paper part entirely except for about 3 little scraps .

I get to get the kids ready for school take fiance to see the nurse play the clean up game find the reading and the right decoration for our Jesse tree tonight have to re make the first decoration on our tree beacuse the cat played with it cook tea find all the stuff that has been lost and take the boys to st Vincent DePauls to drop off thier old toys after school. I also have to clean up by the back door beacuse the boys have been using it as a dumping ground. And the garden is once again full of weeds

I’m just glad nobody ate the yarn and had to have an operation.
I will be more careful next time to put anything with a little piece of yarn in a drawer.

Rested after yesterday’s installation of a new toilet. My back isn’t what it used to be. At least I still made it to mass.
