Bought a new (slightly used) car for our son and daughter-in-law today. They had twins back in June and were in desperate need. They’ll get twice the gas mileage now!
I’m snuggled up on the sofa with mr 5 who has a tummy bug whilst I have a kidney infection. I have laundry to fold and there is probably a little bit of ironing there as well and the floor could do with a vacuum but oh well there is always another day tomorrow what’s important now is spending time with my boy making sure he’s ok and both of us having plenty of rest and fluids
Today, after working the night before, I’m going to take a nap, go to my History class, ask God to have mercy on my soul, watch some episodes of Star Trek, then get some real sleep. I’m going to pet my dogs and pester my husband and I also might make some chocolate chip cookies.
Today I’m going to go be scolded by the eye doctor for making my contact lenses last this long. I plan to(have no choice but to) bring a few kids with me to distract him from his scolding.
So today I have a 45 minute meeting that starts 15 minutes before the kids are due to be picked up from school ( Thank goodness for friends) and after I pick the kids up it’s off to reconciliation ( if I get there in time) and then rush home to cook dinner ( hopefully I get it prepared before the meeting)
I have 1 kid home sick ( mr 11 has managed to pick up mr 5s germies) I have house work to do and gardening ( all the rain has made the weeds grow) and then, then there is the never ending washing pile.
Finishing up laundry. Taking photos of our new little Sambo. And trying not to freeze to death. They weren’t kidding when they said today would be ice cold.
I hope to do a thorough grocery shopping, see about having the refrigerator fixed, finish mowing the lawn and help out at my parents home.
I need to get back into walking again, too much car driving at present
My plans are up in the air at the moment. Everything hinges on what happens with my mother since we had a scare earlier this morning. As her caregiver, I have to be prepared for anything.
QVC Christmas parade is happening tonight. I reckon I’ll go as it’s just a few blocks from where I am sitting and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it all the way through.
A few years ago I unfortunately got back from an overseas trip right in the middle of when the parade was happening. I had an awful time trying to get to my house due to all the blocked-off streets and when I arrived, my cat was so excited to see me and by all the noise that she ran out the front door with all the crowds and melee going on. Fortunately I caught her on the front steps but that was just a nightmare. The parking in this area is terrible and most of the people who come here drive from a distance. If I wasn’t able to just walk to it I would not go.
