I worry about this sort of pronouncement. I mean, we don’t know (and frankly, don’t want to know) about satan, what he thinks or does. We just clothe ourselves in love and try and live as good people.Wammy, sorry, but I think you’re missing the point I’m making. Satan sugar-coats lies to make them appealing/seductive. The picture you painted above is just that. He’s like an abductor who entices children with colourful sweets and toys! You’ll only see his true colours until after it’s too late…
Am I making any sense to you? Could I be right? Can you really dismiss what I’m saying as nonsense? Remember that Satan (originally Lucifer) was the greatest angel in Heaven. He’s also very clever and a master of deception.
I don’t think it’s helpful to make out you know Satan’s motives or modus operandi. We are all on our own journey, God has a way of calling to all our hearts through all forms of worship of him (it’s in the Catechism).
