If he is really serious about an accurate answer, he should contact Catholic Answers directly, not this forum. All he will get is a smattering of unqualified advice from a variety of Catholics. He has come here to look for answers: Catholic answers
I don’t agree with this. It is right of the OP to seek understanding. Sometimes we all struggle to understand God’s love and His will, and His plan for us.I object to being put on the defensive by gay people like the starter of this thread. It is a kind of emotional blackmail because they know we are bound to act like nice kind Christians who “love” their neighbour. And if we do speak our mind, then they can feel justified in feeling oppressed.
Tends to happen a lot on message boards.I don’t agree with this.
Do you ever think to die to the self? To be a disciple is to die to the self and be like Jesus for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven.if god is so accepting is loving, and if he knew gay people would be a thing, why did he tell people to write it in the bible? did he purposely want to make gay people feel awful of themselves? people don’t choose to be gay, and people like me cry to sleep and pray for days just to become straight again!
no matter what people tell me, i still see god as harsh and punishing.
i cannot emphasize this enough, but i just wish being gay wasn’t a problem with god.
i have an odd relationship with god right now, i talk to him every day because he keeps me alive and gives me blessings. but everytime i see someone being homophobic i start questioning god.
