God

And you know it too. You have been here several years and had these points answered countless times.

He’s openly admitted to having not studied the Trinity, and it’s clear he hasn’t since then. I would just ignore him, then. 🙂

If Catholics believed in One God only then there would not have been any controversy with Jews and Muslims. The belief of the christians is not strictly monotheistic. The Christians have three pronged God or three gods in One God in some special way which others can never understand. They have God the Father, God the son and God the holy ghost, all gods combined into One God, I do not know His name. They may all be combined into the father, or Jesus, or…

If there is a Father God, a son God and a holy Ghost God, and it is believed that all three are One (may be combined into One) then that One must also have some name. Who is that??? and what is that??
Dear Planten
  1. Seems you are differentiating Catholics from other Christians.
  2. We have no controversy with Jews, its only that most Christians were not Jews. Jesus came to the Jews, who rejected Him, and hence His teachings were given to the Gentiles that is us all even Muslims and anyone who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior.
  3. In spite of all the hammering with nails and whatever, baby feeding with nipples by so many writers on all the forums, yet if you don’t understand the concept of Trinity, than I don’t think you will ever understand it. The ignorant and not so wise people of 2000 years ago accepted it, and it has been so since than. We know what it means because we believed and as you have no belief in who Jesus is I don’t think it will be possible to explain to you.
  4. Lastly inspite of telling you and you may have read endless time the creed we believe in, which clearly shows, that We Christians believe in only ONE GOD, and hold no one else closer to Him, unlike Mohammed is held at highest esteem by Muslims. John the Baptist was the last Prophet and we don’t hold him at that high esteem nor all the other prophets that came, and we know that if Jesus spoke to them, than they are very much in Heaven, unlike muslims who still say pbuh and whatever as they are still not sure of all the closeness the prophets had with God, that they will ever be with Him.
Also lets stick to the opening question and hope you will be able to answer it instead of changing the topic.

Have a wonderful day.

wwolverine, I had replied to ralphinal who wrote “Whoever wrote the Quran did not know that Christians believed in One God.”

So naturally, when Quran was being accused, the question of Trinity had to come up. If there is One God then what is Trinity?? I do not want to repeat what i have said already. My post was quite clear. But nobody replied to any of my points. Why?? They think this has been discussed here many times. I deny that. They have discussed it just like this time. You can see that no one has replied. You have replied in a good manner but not explained anything.

I know and I admit that Christians say they believe in One God. But I see them sailing in two boats at once. Some of them say that Trinity is a mystery, that no one has been able to understand it. That is not my fault. You may be understanding Trinity. I do not doubt it. But I do not understand it and cannot follow it.

I know it is not the topic. Some one asked the question from the Muslims about the prophet Noah. The reply was given. In that reply (I do not know about hambah what he said) but I did never refer the paganism of the Noah’s people to the present day Christians. I never said that they were pagans like the Catholics.

So, I do not understand why the christian posters were angry with us Muslims that we were trying to connect the story of Noah’s people to that of modern day paganism. I do not accuse you of paganism, even though I do not understand your Trinity. You can have your Trinity and be happy with it. I did not blame any of you about it.

But when it was asserted that the writer of Quran was ignorant and did not know that Christians believed in One God. Then it became necessary to inform the christian posters that the Great God who revealed the Quran knew very well about the bad belief (mysterious belief) of Trinity. There was no need to jump on me for that when more than half the world does not know anything about Trinity. The Jews and the Muslims abhorr the belief of Trinity.

As I understood it, it appeared that there were three gods in the One God of the christians. If it was not so then some one should have explained the misunderstanding. At the moment I can only understand that you people believe in One God and three gods too. Otherwise what is Trinity?? What use it is to you?? If you do not believe in three gods at all then there is no conflict with you, ever. Will you please deny the three Gods now?? Then we will never mention the three gods to you. Do you deny the three gods??

I do not accuse you of any paganism. That is your own business specially if you deny being a pagan. It is better that we leave Trinity to some later time because nobody seems to understand it.

I can’t go into any details because of lack of time, but I’ll answer from the book “Qisas al-anbiya’”, translated to “Stories of the Prophets” by Al-Jaza’iri, pages 83-87, under the heading the story of Noah and the flood.
  1. The rain lasted for 40 days.
  2. Allah (swt) deprived the women from bearing any children for 40 years as Noah (as) was building the Arc.
  3. Noah (as) gathered the believers and animals in pairs (male/female), along with the food they needed to survive the flood in the Arc.

Salaam Brother, Whats up? Can you answer me when Imam Mahdi will appear?
Salaam bro,
The hadiths indicate his appearance will be preceded by the appearance of 313 men in Makkah, these 313 are special, they are his helpers who will help him establish his global government. In some hadiths they are referred to as the ones missing from their beds and in some commentaries they are the ones referred to in Surah 2:148.

“Those missing from their beds are the three hundred and thirteen men. (who are) equal to the number of companions of the battle of Badr. They will all suddenly find themselves in Makkah for Allah says. “Wherever you are. Allah will bring you altogether” (2:148). They are the companions of the Qa’em (as) i.e. Imam Mahdi (as).”

I know where you’re going with this but this is off-topic from the OP’s question. Why don’t you open a new thread and we’ll discuss there. To answer your question briefly, no we don’t believe the Qur’an is corrupted and yes it is complete.

Off hand I do not know the answer. It may have rained a few days only. But it is believed amongst Muslims that the flood remained forty days.

Why did Allah allow small children and infants to die in the flood?
That is not a suitable question, unless youhave some hidden mission for asking that question. I am sure I will be able to reply if you tell me what is the purpose of asking that question. I will reply by the suiatble Islamic point of view.

How did Noah and his family survive?
They also survived by getting on board the Ark. One son of Noah was lost because he was not on the right track with father.

There was no other way of survival of any one. Noah had prayed to Allah the infidels be destroyed. Not one may live. Allah accepted his prayer and none of his opponents survived.

The way you answered the question, if all the other forums people answered, than there is no more a forum but something like meeting a stranger and greeting him and than saying and moving on and than telling all, Hey I met this nice person and we are great friends.

Your answers are no answer at all.

Quran I am told is the most complete book, Bridging the gap from Torah and Holy Bible, unifying all to form us as the people of the book. So if that is the case, where is quran is the information I am seeking for, if its not there which other important revealed book muslims follow has the answers?

Why is it that most muslims do not know the answer, as to what you have given?

Where did you get the answer no 2? and how authentic is it considering that the Muslims follow a complete religion as revealed by Allah?

Lastly I am being told that Noah was a prophet whose message was not accepted by the people, as per your answer for the last 40 years he was building the ship, so when did he have time to teach the people?

Dear Planten,

You I are a sunni Muslim and Famdigy is a shia mulsim. you have political differences, but when it comes to quran, you both follow the same book. So if that is the case, how come famdigy says 40 days and you say few days? Is there some different in the quran both follow?

What makes you feel there are hidden questions? Does it mean you do not know the answer for just hunting for some baits? I would appreciate if you wold just answer. Especially regarding the children and infants.

Thanks

wwolverine, I had given some answers. It was not necessary that it should keep raining for forty days. It just rained heavily and the flood started. The Ark was lifted up on water and kept floating for forty days.

Of course I may have taken some info from the bibleOT as I may have read it long ago. We need not go into deep detail about these things. The stories of the prophets are described in the Quran, as a reminder for something, with some special meaning. We should concentrate on the message and not go into too much details.

Your most important question appears to be “Why did Allah (God) allow the young children to be killed?” Can you question God why He did this or that?? I cannot understand the meaning behind that question?? I wonder about bibleOT, what is written there. I will go and read that all and then I will try to find out if the very young children died in the flood or not.

Suppose that I find in the bibleOT that the very young children also died. Then what to do about it?. It would be the same situation for you to explain to me. So let me see the bibleOT please. Also you may tell me why many young children died in the earthquake in haiti. Can you tell why God allowed those young children to be killed.

But if you tell your problem why you are asking about the young children then I may discuss the matter with you. After all, every question has some mission or problem behind it. So please tell what is your problem about the killing of very young children.

There is some identity parade going on of the Muslims here. We do have many sects. But we are fair with you according to our knowledge and beliefs. No mistakes. We should remain more on the topic.

Let me see if I can clarify what I mean by “the writer of the Qur’an did not know what Christians believe.” Jesus is God. The Father is God. The Holy Spirit is God. But, they are all one in Substance. Hence, you have ONE God with three persons. Now, if we were assigning partners to God, we would be saying that Jesus is a distinct entity from God, yet we worship him as God none the less. This idea was several hundred years old by the time of Mohammed

Back to the topic. If humans of that era went 40 years with no children being born, the population would have died off, anyway and the flood was not needed. Please try again.
