Dear Planten
- Seems you are differentiating Catholics from other Christians.
- We have no controversy with Jews, its only that most Christians were not Jews. Jesus came to the Jews, who rejected Him, and hence His teachings were given to the Gentiles that is us all even Muslims and anyone who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior.
- In spite of all the hammering with nails and whatever, baby feeding with nipples by so many writers on all the forums, yet if you don’t understand the concept of Trinity, than I don’t think you will ever understand it. The ignorant and not so wise people of 2000 years ago accepted it, and it has been so since than. We know what it means because we believed and as you have no belief in who Jesus is I don’t think it will be possible to explain to you.
- Lastly inspite of telling you and you may have read endless time the creed we believe in, which clearly shows, that We Christians believe in only ONE GOD, and hold no one else closer to Him, unlike Mohammed is held at highest esteem by Muslims. John the Baptist was the last Prophet and we don’t hold him at that high esteem nor all the other prophets that came, and we know that if Jesus spoke to them, than they are very much in Heaven, unlike muslims who still say pbuh and whatever as they are still not sure of all the closeness the prophets had with God, that they will ever be with Him.
Also lets stick to the opening question and hope you will be able to answer it instead of changing the topic.
Have a wonderful day.
wwolverine, I had replied to ralphinal who wrote “Whoever wrote the Quran did not know that Christians believed in One God.”
So naturally, when Quran was being accused, the question of Trinity had to come up. If there is One God then what is Trinity?? I do not want to repeat what i have said already. My post was quite clear. But nobody replied to any of my points. Why?? They think this has been discussed here many times. I deny that. They have discussed it just like this time. You can see that no one has replied. You have replied in a good manner but not explained anything.
I know and I admit that Christians say they believe in One God. But I see them sailing in two boats at once. Some of them say that Trinity is a mystery, that no one has been able to understand it. That is not my fault. You may be understanding Trinity. I do not doubt it. But I do not understand it and cannot follow it.
I know it is not the topic. Some one asked the question from the Muslims about the prophet Noah. The reply was given. In that reply (I do not know about hambah what he said) but I did never refer the paganism of the Noah’s people to the present day Christians. I never said that they were pagans like the Catholics.
So, I do not understand why the christian posters were angry with us Muslims that we were trying to connect the story of Noah’s people to that of modern day paganism. I do not accuse you of paganism, even though I do not understand your Trinity. You can have your Trinity and be happy with it. I did not blame any of you about it.
But when it was asserted that the writer of Quran was ignorant and did not know that Christians believed in One God. Then it became necessary to inform the christian posters that the Great God who revealed the Quran knew very well about the bad belief (mysterious belief) of Trinity. There was no need to jump on me for that when more than half the world does not know anything about Trinity. The Jews and the Muslims abhorr the belief of Trinity.
As I understood it, it appeared that there were three gods in the One God of the christians. If it was not so then some one should have explained the misunderstanding. At the moment I can only understand that you people believe in One God and three gods too. Otherwise what is Trinity?? What use it is to you?? If you do not believe in three gods at all then there is no conflict with you, ever. Will you please deny the three Gods now?? Then we will never mention the three gods to you. Do you deny the three gods??
I do not accuse you of any paganism. That is your own business specially if you deny being a pagan. It is better that we leave Trinity to some later time because nobody seems to understand it.
