I was an extra in the Blues Brothers. In the concert scene where they were late. Filmed at the Hollywood Palladium. I remember the director, John Landis, had a VERY filthy mouth.

The original Cinderella, not the remakes. (“10 Minutes Ago” is one of my favorite songs.)

My Fair Lady (“I Could Have Danced All Night”.)

Jesus Christ Superstar (“I Don’t Know How to Love Him”)

The Producers (“Spriiiinnngg time for HEET-ler und Cher-many…”) The early 60’s movie version with Gene Wilder still makes me howl with laughter every time I see it.

No kidding! Do we see you looking annoyed at the late start? Do we see you singing along?
Were you actually present at the performance shown in the movie, or was that filmed separately?

I love this one too! I always feel it gets pushed aside for “White Christmas”. But Holiday Inn Is a great one.

“1776” all day long.

“Meet Me in St. Louis” is another huge favorite of mine, as is “The King and I”. “Singing in the Rain” and “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” rank up there. Oh, there are just too many.

As for Broadway type musicals, I loved “Wicked”.

Meet Me in St Louis transitioned to the live stage wonderfully. It is the ending show in this season’s 100th Muny anniversary - not surprisingly! I can’t wait.

Not seen Spelling Bee.
If the thread is allowing musical style movies I have to admit I like Team America World Police too!

Love never dies the sequel to the phantom of the Opera is Touring US! God bless all

Nope. Don’t see me at all. It was an alllllll day thing, and as far as I know, was used in the movie. The performance with Ackroyd and Belushi was hardly anything. Most of the time it was waiting and waiting. But, I got paid for it like $30 😂, and I got to hang out all day with my crush at the time who went with me.

I’m only listing stage musicals.

The Lion King (taking my 5yo to see it next week, so excited for him and me)
Wicked

I’ve seen several others more than once, but like them less the more I’ve seen them (such as Phantom and Les Mis). The above two, I would avidly see again.
