I am not a happy camper that my tax money goes to Israel. I used to support Israel on top of that (thanks to Valke I do not anymore as stated in another thread)

As many of your tax dollars go to Egypt. Does that bother you less? If fact your tax dollars aid nearly every nation on earth. Why single out Israel? Do you prefer, say… Sudan?

I never bashed you, I confronted you for being rude. You were the one who blew me off in your first post ever to me. Stopping pretending you are a martyr for your political position. Make an argument, defend it and treat people with a little respect and you won’t get “bashed”.

So are your neighbors Orthodox Jews or Eastern Orthodox Christians? I missed your point there.

What is there possibly in this thread that would be viewed as insulting to evangelical chrsitians? You are either misconsturing my words or I have misstated something. Is it a secret that there is finanical support from the AMerican Evangelicals? Who bashed Karin? Are we speaking the same language? Did I ever even imply it is wrong to disagree with the Israeli Gov’t’s policies? That would be odd, since there is always a large segment of the Israeli population who disagrees with their gov’t’s actions. There is a difference between supporting Israel’s right to exist and supporting every policy initiated by Israel. I am assuming Karin supports the former and not the latter.

I guess you know of no other ethnic groups who lobby the U.S. for money? Go talk to a Greek or a Turk or an Armenian sometime. I don’t care about the politics either. But it’s not really about politics is it?

I guees when I see Israel and the Jews singled out more than anybody on internet discussion and the real world it sets me off. I just find it strange given the existence of horrible regimes liek China, N. Korea, Sudan, etc. I find it suspect when a democracy (that happens to be a Jewish state) get’s singled out the most. But I digress.

And you think I am a Jewish version of this Bella? Well that’s not encouraging. I admit I have my buttons, and I have been particularly unfiltered this week. But I hope I am not a Bella. My wife would not like that. I am sure of it.

For the record I am a Christian. Half Hebrew, but my allegiance is to Christ and my Chirstian brothers and sisters before anyone.

No where in my post did I single out the Jews and Israel…I asked a simple question, your provided an answer that by my understanding of it lumped the two together…you did not view them as a seperate things, Jews and Israel…that is what I rolled my eyes at…most of us view them as two seperate things, a religion and a country.

Then I think we both misunderstood each other. That was not my point and I did not read yours the way you intended. I tend to think of the “The Jews” I don’t think religion first I tend to mentally combine the ethnic/cultural aspect with the religious since Jews fit into both categories. I am sure this is just because I am an ethnic/cultural “Jews” (Hebrew to be more accurate I guess) but a Christian by religion. I forget that some people don’t think of it like that. Mea culpa.
