For the record I am a Christian. Half Hebrew, but my allegiance is to Christ and my Chirstian brothers and sisters before anyone.

No where in my post did I single out the Jews and Israel…I asked a simple question, your provided an answer that by my understanding of it lumped the two together…you did not view them as a seperate things, Jews and Israel…that is what I rolled my eyes at…most of us view them as two seperate things, a religion and a country.

No, no. I was referring to what Damascus said, not you. I tried to explain why I tend to read between the line when people get hot under the collar about Israel. Life experience makes me suspect of certain statements. But that’s my problem. Not yours or Damascus.

Then I think we both misunderstood each other. That was not my point and I did not read yours the way you intended. I tend to think of the “The Jews” I don’t think religion first I tend to mentally combine the ethnic/cultural aspect with the religious since Jews fit into both categories. I am sure this is just because I am an ethnic/cultural “Jews” (Hebrew to be more accurate I guess) but a Christian by religion. I forget that some people don’t think of it like that. Mea culpa.

I think the flipside of the thread is that Christians have different ways of expressing their like for the Jewish people. And, thankfully there seems to be a great deal of liking going on.
