A lie is DELIBERATE knowledge that one is distorting truth. I had been misinformed and stated it in innocence. It had been withdrawn almost immediately, well before you noted that I had done so.

I do check things, and thatā€™s when I observed it. The problem is that the person who told me is very credible and I had no reason to doubt it was true.

i am not sure i can agree with you considering the original catholic church did not speak latin in their masses. that came later. i am sure the churches in corinth and ephesus didnā€™t speak latin in their liturgies.

in innocece??? you stated something about a fellow poster that you heard second hand with out making sure what you stated was FACT!
there are copies of your post (the one in question)ā€¦ there was no innocence in itā€¦but then that is my 2cents!

You have fallen into the (common) error of archaeologism: what the ā€œoriginalā€ Catholic Church did = what we should be doing, or, perhaps, if they didnā€™t do it, we shouldnā€™t do it. Archaeologism, plain and simple.

Whether you like it or not, Latin is the language of our Rite. A vernacular Mass can only be offered by Indult, that is, exception to the norm. Latin is the norm of our Rite.

Latin needs no defense, no justification, no ā€œpermissionā€.

Latin is the language of our Riteā€¦a simple fact, notwithstanding anyone who disagrees.
 
Malign? Many are proud to say they are SSPX. There was no harm done to you personally, Pmg. The post lasted one minute and the public are well aware by now that it was an innocent mistake. Why publicize it further? Judging anotherā€™s motives is just as bad as making the error, is it not?

I have been ridiculed constantly with people calling me a charismatic and protestant. The problem there is that these people do state it without innocence, and with malintent.

There is no harm done in lying about another person being SSPX? On these forums, SSPX are maligned constantly. I love the Pope, I love the Church, and I am not SSPX. How dare you think there was no harm done. Get out of my thread, Joysong. You are not welcome.

I do not know a SINGLE Catholic that does not want the abuses to end, but that is a far cry from the outright DISDAIN for the Holy Mass I just read on the Ave Maria blog (tradcath-marilena.blogspot.com/) the OP saw fit to ā€œtip her hatā€ to. ā€œAveā€, indeedā€¦

Would this stuff fall into that category or not, meaning, are these changes signaling the devilā€™s influence in the CC?

saw fit to tip her hat to herā€¦for bringing these things to her and others attention, indeedā€¦what is wrong with that? Should we hide or sweep the abuses in the back of the closet or under the rug?

The devil is constantly attacking the church, and no, he will never prevail. But he will always try to bring as much of the church down as possible. I believe the negative changes in the church have always been prompted by the devil. I also believe that God always prevails and will always turn bad into good, in his own way and in His own time.

How is God prevailing when the Mass used to be of great reverence and now itā€™s become an entertainment?
