I’ve put in my will to have it divided in three and made into small pendants, each kid getting their own birthstone.What a beautiful, powerful symbol you display for your children. Hope they don’t all fight over it someday!![]()
But ultimately-- it’s just a chunk of metal with rocks in it.
It was interesting reading about the different choices, wear, don’t wear, put on a chain, get a tattoo. The actions give meaning to the symbol, vice the symbol giving meaning to the actions. My kids shake their heads over their mom’s tattoo because at the end of the day- the symbol was nothing compared to the actions. The symbol remains but has no meaning, there was no greater commitment, apparently, then having a ring of gold and diamonds on her finger.
