What's with all the useless universes?

Many things are impossible. For example, it is impossible to travel backwards in time. Here I am talking about time periods greater than one second or all the way up to several years or more. Of course, because of the uncertainty principle, there may be exceptions at the Planck level which is less than 1/ (10^42) seconds.

Why couldn’t God create other universes? He can create anything he wants to.

How do we know there is only one universe? God can certainly create as many as he wills. He may have created only this one, or he may have created several universes. Someday, if our technology advances far enough, we might be able to find out for certain.

Nor is it impossible to travel backward in time. Beyond the speed of light, time does reverse. We just have to figure out how to do it.

Neither creation story mentions a second universe, or additional universes, because those creation stories apply to us and our universe. IF there are other universes with their own inhabitants and their own uniqueness, they might have their own histories and their own creation stories. OR, along with us and ours, they might all be part of one, singular creation but aren’t mentioned in our scriptures because they don’t directly involve us and our history.

What’s with all the (seemingly) useless spaces between planets, stars, and galaxies in THIS universe? And, if Man is alone in this universe, then what’s with all the useless rest of it? There are lots of answers to that … but the short answer is that physical scale & metaphysical significance are wholly unrelated.

Because there is only one by definition. The word “universe” means “the whole cosmos”, “all of time and space”, “all matter and energy that has contingent existence”.

My response to this kind of question is “what all are you talking about?” I’m not aware of a single atom’s width that I know is useless.
 
Nothing that God has created is useless – whether it’s one universe or many – they all have value in some way or other.

In the following by “you” I just mean an arbitrary person who I am using for the sake of following a logical argument.
Suppose you travelled backward in time and saw your father when he was a pre-school child. Now I don’t recommend this OF COURSE, but suppose then that you killed your father when he was a pre-school child. Where does that leave you?

Who know what God is doing with it - he came up short if earth holds the only life - its not for us to know or not for us to know yet. One day we might find out if God wants to show us.
 
Sacred Scripture tells us there is one universe. Read the Book of Revelation .

There is no empirical evidence of multiverses. As far as I know, it is only a mathematical hypothesis to explain other things, but there are other solutions to it which don’t imply multiverses.
