Why did God create all the seemingly useless universes?
The Question presumes …

At this point in time - this Universe is the Only Universe that exists.

All else is pure unproven speculation
Well, scientifically it is like life on other planets… Not proven, but very likely

To inspire awe and wonder? To help men could navigate the seas?
To reveal his awesomeness? To be revealed at a later date?

Useless might be a word applied to wood ticks and mosquitoes. If I was asking the question.

God seems to love beauty. He didn’t have to give us apple blossoms to give us apples.

Everything has a purpose under heaven. We don’t need to understand it all.

I can’t imagine the Ultimate Creator having only created earth and the creatures on our planet. To assume such is to place limits in our minds on God’s power and infinite abilities, not to mention his love of life and living things.
You can speculate of course, but so far science has shown that we live in the best of all possible worlds. Everything from radio signals to space missions have come back without signs of life.

Which means we have eliminated 0.003% of the possibilities…

Look up the etymology of the word universe. It is possible you are confusing universe with dimension.

Well what would their purpose likely be?
God, their creator, knows the answer to this question.
Perhaps one day he will allow us to know it too.
For now, we should accept that nothing God created is “useless” - it all has a purpose.

I would even say right now it has a purpose of giving mankind something interesting to study and contemplate, both from a pure scientific perspective, and to marvel at the greatness of God creating such a vast number of universes that we can’t even get them all into our heads.

They are also pretty for astronomers to look at and for us to see pictures of.
You can’t see other universes. I think you mean galaxies.

What is beyond the observable universe might be an infinity of other universes. Or simply an infinity of this one. I think the question is: who is it for if not us (as we can’t access it in any way).

Honest Answer Of The Week award awaits the first person to say ‘I don’t know’ (judges decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into).

That’s like looking out of your back door and declaring there is no life on Europa.

“a place to dump useless stuff”

As if it isn’t enough just to pollute our oceans, and already space junk has accumulated and is floating around above our atmosphere … do we really need another place to throw out garbage?

And BTW, I’m sure your daughter’s cat is well aware of your disdain for her. While you aren’t looking, she is probably sticking her feline tongue out at you.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Someday I figure we’ll find a use for them, such as a place to dump useless stuff for example.
If you are planning to dump “useless” cats in another universe, then I guarantee you that it will become a hotbed of space tourism and space selfie posting, just like the “cat islands” in Japan.
I will be on the first space flight there. Might even move there.

It will not be possible to access other universes if they exist. We couldn’t send anything there nor could anything from another universe enter ours.

We haven’t the technology to achieve that, yet. Who knows what abilities “they” might possess?

There were these two ETs in a spaceship that were contemplating visiting earth. They hovered over the earth for awhile, and tuned in on their monitors to events unfolding in our Congress. They watched and listened for awhile, then decided to scrap their mission. The caption said to his co-pilot, “C’mon. Let’s get out of here. There’s no intelligent life on this planet.”

Probably, but that would be useless too.

Well darn; that makes the whole thread useless.
