Lovely! That’s how I used to pot mine, with impatiens. I haven’t potted any for a few years. I intend to change that in spring 2018.

Thank you, @Rob2.

They look like little silver coins. Pretty, and very different.

I love primroses, and a some time ago, I would plant them each year, but they never grew well. I don’t know what I was doing wrong. When I lived in Switzerland, I lived across the street from a professional gardener, and he always had the most gorgeous primroses. So lovely to look at. In England, it was the bluebells I admired so much.

A miniature rose, growing with some impatiens in the flower box in front of my mom’s house.

I was thinking the same thing. It would be really nice if you could actually grow silver dollars though. 😎

Swiss Chard is not only a beautiful plant, but it is very tasty.

Swiss chard holds a special significance for me.

The year I got laid off, I was given a warning in a dream about losing my job. This dream came two weeks before I even knew I was going to get laid off. The dream ended with a promise. No matter what, God will take care of me.

After I got laid off I started a container vegetable garden on my apartment balcony. I planted Swiss chard. The Swiss chard grew abundantly and I relied on that vegetable as a source of food. Sautéed in olive oil and garlic, it went well on top of pasta.

To me this experience growing Swiss chard was a symbol of God’s care for me at a time when I had no idea of my future and if I ever could find another job.

It was scary but then I looked at my tiny container kitchen garden at the abundant Swiss chard growing in it and know I will not go hungry that day.

What a lovely story. Our God is such a loving father.
I like using the leafs to make wraps with, and they are loaded with all kinds of vitamins, minerals and all kinds of other goodies.
I am going to attempt to grow chard this winter indoors under grow lights along with my herbs.

I have a big bunch of Silverbeet from my mum’s garden to eat ,it never fails to pick me up!
