Well, our initial government failed too. Like I said, we’re on constitution #2.

As far as governmental documents that affirm innate human rights, the idea is ancient. The Enlightenment was simply the time in history where these ideals in people reached critical mass on a secular basis, resulting in the overthrow of most authoritarian regimes.

Prior to that, innate human rights sources in divine law (rather than the secularism of the Enlightenment) are amply sourced.

Again, the uniqueness of the American constitution is centered on the fact that it’s likely the oldest of its kind still in use.

It appears that you’re permitted to carry a concealed gun in your vehicle. It’s not considered concealed if it’s inside a case. They no longer require a CCDW but I’d still get one.

Here in Ohio, you can legally open carry just about anywhere but you better have a CCW if you’re carrying inside your vehicle.

I was caught in the protest driving home one day. I was two cars from the freeway ramp, waiting for the light, when the protesters showed up. They were migrating from City Hall to Capital Hill. The cars were very quickly blocked with bikes and I had to wait for several thousand protesters to meander by. They didn’t move the bikes until the last straggler had passed.

In my case the crowd was peaceful, so about all you could do was smile and act like you supported them, short horn toots instead long angry ones.

Here protesters were protesting on a major freeway. They had tried to block traffic with cars and one car got around them. I think they were hit with malice but the protesters’ actions were very dumb. I guess they are venting after losing CHOP.

In Minneapolis, it’s likely that a truck driver, from Ukraine or something like that, erroneously did drive into the protesters and thankfully, he survived okay. I think he got some cuts.

Believe it or not, there will be a solution come November when Democrats get thrown out of office because they refuse to protect their citizens from mobs. What a glorious day that will be. Then we can work on getting the “do nothing” Republicans out of office (with them, people don’t have to worry about them passing some unwanted legislation). The US government was created specifically to protect its citizens.

And yes, I agree it has failed tragically with many of its minority citizens in the past. Hence the need to get rid of the Republicans too but don’t replace with alt-left fanatic Democrats.

Investigators have to learn that visual evidence can be very deceptive too. My sons car accident is proof of that. He was going to turn into a parking spot but wasn’t sure it was wide enough so he paused for a few seconds. The car behind him mistaken this pause for him just stopping in the middle of the parking lot. The car behind then tried to speed past my son’s car (between the parking spot and my son’s car) just when my son decided to go into the spot. They collided. The person may have been high too. You’d think this would have been an open and shut case but no, there was a video that caught the whole thing on video tape.

If you watch the video tape you get the impression that my son just stopped in the middle of the parking lot and when the car pasted from behind, my son turned into his car. Since my son did not have his turn signal on, the insurance company said it was his fault (and that was our insurance company). Looks are very deceiving because, intent is not known. In this day of lying and unbelieving statements, nobody believes anybody so we gather into our own little political groups and fight one another.

I’m not sure where you are going with this. Yes, we had an original articles of confederation, then the US constitution.

The creation of the United States really was formalized by the Declaration of Independence, which for the first time in human history stated that government GOT its power and right to govern FROM the people instead of the other way around.

It is an amazing idea of liberty and of equality, and it led to the creation of the greatest nation in the history of the planet.

A nation that marxists want to destroy.
