I don’t think so. My understanding is that the whole notion of indulgences contradicts the spirit of Holy Orthodoxy. And wouldn’t indugences be a problem with the Orthodox Church too?
Speculative.Would Luther be in one of the three branches of the Lutheran church or would he be elsewhere?
Unless he went to an LCMS church. He’d see all the women in Lutheran pulpits and run for Rome.
I think an even more intriguing question is: Would ML accept the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification as a breakthrough, or as baloney.Would Luther be in one of the three branches of the Lutheran church or would he be elsewhere?
The ROC certainly avoided the scandals of paid indulgences better than some.I don’t think so. My understanding is that the whole notion of indulgences contradicts the spirit of Holy Orthodoxy.
Cautiously,

Please help me understand where in Luther’s theology you see support for the above three items.
- Regret giving birth to a theology that allows abortion, euthanasia, gay marriage, etc.
Well…I’d imagine if Martin Luther came back from the dead, he’d have to first figure out how to get outta his grave.
“Hey, where am I? Why’s it so dark and cold in here? Hello? Hello??”
That’s not a nice thought
Do you think there might be some who would willingly dig him up, just to be able to throw the dirt back on him?
